Hey guys! I am probably in the wrong forum for this but I have no idea where to look for the answer to my question. Ok, so I'm trying visualise the perceivable deficiency or flooding of pixels in a 3D scene. What this means in layman's terms is that I want to visually see where I've used too little or too many pixels…
Couldn't find anything within an admittedly short search for a flipbook shader in blender so I setup some base functionality for one with some vectors. Figured I'd share in case anyone else was looking or something similar. Mix it with some masks for some fun effects.
Welcome to Polycount! This is a sweet design, it's nice to see non-conventional mechanical designs like this. The biggest thing for me is how difficult it is to get a "read" on the shapes. I think this happens because the materials are all very similar across the whole asset, so it's difficult for the eye to parse what the…

Hi! I recently noticed that when you bake lightmap with directional light specular my shaders were not working as expected and noticed it is because the shader is not the surface shader type. Then I would know how to make a surface shader in the shader forge. Can someone help me?
Hi folks. I've been testing some shaders in MB when it comes to surface evaluation, but cannot find one that satisfies me, especially litSpheres. While they look good it is often hard to tell what exactly are you sculpting... Anyway, if you have anything to share with me I'd be thankful :) .

You're correct. Settings from the render panel are used when baking. Sample quality values will be the same but that doesn't necessarily guarantee identical results. I'm not a developer so I don't know what's going on under the hood or if there's any limitations on how baking is handled. What I do know is that there's a…
Hey guys, Pretty new to this and not exactly sure what to call what im looking for exactly, but I'm working on a short film and would like to try and create something similar to this I've got Vray, but im just not too sure how to go about creating a shader that has texture and transparency. Does anyone have any articles or…
