Hey all, The last few days I have tried several tiling texture methods and in the end I preferred the method of using actual geometry bakes in Max over the more common methods inside Zbrush (2.5 Canvas, wrapmode method). However, I just cannot get rid of this seam in my texture and it is driving me against the wall.
Great looking textures Shrogg. I do see some seams, especially apparent in your second rock texture. Btw, Have you tried out my method yet for the tiling textures ? Subbed :)
Didn't know if it would fit here or in technical talk...so I flipped a coin... Anyway...my first (serious) attempt on creating hand painted textures. Its an oil drum...note: this is not a game asset, so it has some more faces and nor Normal Map. (half res) I don't think I did too bad, but I'd like to hear your input on how…

If i apply my uvm unwrap and turbosmooth mod and rendder again i got the obviously smoothed edges from turbosmooth but the texture is affected 2, what i dont want. The circle…
Hey everyone, I'm fairly new to UE4 and still not knowing how everything works I was hoping I could get some help :) How do I remove a part of a texture to reveal another texture underneath, all in real time? Imagine there is a wall covered in dirt, and using a water hose (or throwing a bucket of water) you clean up the…
I am having some curious issues with the Texture:CropAndfill. I was using it fine yesterday and now I am getting different results. I feel like a newb! - I am grabbing the canvas with Texture:GrabDoc. You can see in the second image that the preview looks correct. - I change the material to the Flat Color and then Press…
I've been working on an African female character in ZBrush but have kind of run out of my sphere of knowledge when it comes to laying down the diffuse texture for the skin. The darker complexion is proving to be a little tricky. I've got loads of of photographic reference but what would be really handy would be to see…
Depending on what you're going for, you might be able to get away with just using Photoshop to paint a hair texture. That said, you'll probably get farther if you use the hair tools in your 3d program to groom and render your hair cards textures (this would let you iterate and get higher quality textures). I'm trying to…
