My suggestion wasn't to reduce the amount of polys. Increasing your mesh's size in world space will increase its polycount after Dynameshing, as Dynamesh's resolution is set in world space. The result you're getting is similar to what happens when you Dynamesh something with a hole or twisted, self-penetrating polygons so…
Is there any reason Dynamesh could refuse to re-project to a new resolution? I get no errors, and the subtool has no layers. I'm simply importing an OBJ (importing it into one of Lightbox's existing dynamesh sphere documents) and applying Dynamesh to it, but if I want to change the Dynamesh resolution, Zbrush goes through…
Hi!I made an ear in Zbrush. Looks like this: Dynameshing it make holes. Other solutions make flat area like this: Things I tried but didin't help: -Cycle of dynameshing, inflate brush and pinch brush-Duplicating ear, moving it back a little bit, switching sides of polygons on it and then dynamesh-Closing edges with Zbrush…
Hey guys, I took a High Poly mesh out of 3DS max into Zbrush to do some manual cuts/boolean operations and noticed when I performed a Dynamesh operation, it gave me faceting. This is even after subdividing multiple times, increasing the size of the mesh and putting in a high resolution for the Dynamesh. This is the High…
Hi there, so I'm just recently wanting to get into the High to Low poly workflow, which means I am starting to learn about dynameshing and other Zbrush features. Im currently having issues figuring out how to apply smoothing after dynamesh is applied, as it barely does anything at all even when I use Smooth Stronger. It…
That is odd that its doing it on only those portions. Were those specific subtools completely water tight? As in were they just cubes that were then sculpted upon or were they planes at any point? Are they perhaps missing a face on the bottom? What may have also happened is that the sculpting at some point may have…
So I have this character I'm working on. I t was made of many different subtools that I merged together into a single subtool. I then proceeded to dynamesh the whole thing so it would be one continuous mesh, and at a resolution of 512, it worked. However, I wasn't completely happy with it, so I wanted to try a higher…
Hey guys! I'm having nasty issue with ZBrushCore regarding dynamesh. When I try to increase dynamesh resolution at imported model it doesn't update, active points count remains the same. I've tried smoothing, sculpting mesh before update dynamesh but it doesn't work. On other hand the same stuff work great with Dynamesh…
So I'm making some 3D text, I've created it in 3dcoat and brought it into zbrush, the first time it worked fine it was about 7 letters, then I decided to try do the entire alphabet in one go. If I try to dynamesh it zbrush crashes. If I split each letter into its own polygroup and split polygroups into subtools,…
Hmm interesting, I did my test here as well between triangulated and quad mesh. Quickly blocked out the mesh with Zmodeler brush and this is my result. The left side is triangulated and right is quad. Top showed the before dynamesh, middle after dynamesh, bottom after dynamesh without wires. Triangualted mesh does affect…
