Cool! So how are you handling reflections then? Do you have a cubemap input? or...? Also...potential issue here. I see you are working in max 2010. Are you preparing this to work post max 2013 when autodesk decided to screw up the way normals work?
Hey, I thank you for your support. I will try what you say. And I did try GOZ for Maya 2012 and there it works perfectly! Just this problem occurs only for Maya 2014. I would hope it's because as you say in Mental Ray plugin. :poly141:

Am currently creating hairs for a character in Max 2012/2013 (tried both) using intersecting alphas but as I rotate the camera different alphas pop in front/behind each other. I know it won't do that in the render but it makes it hard to review the hair in the viewport. Anyone have a solution?
I am working on this small street scene for a final of my class. Im recently learning normal maps and we have been using 3DS Max 2011 and Mudbox 2012. The requirements is just to make it look bad ass. This is what I got for the moment. I am open for any recomendations.

Not sure. You should be able to load old settings in a later version of Max. But mostly you can't go the other way... loading later versions in earlier Max, for example trying to load a Max 2015 file in Max 2012 won't work, but vice versa does, mostly.

wow last post back in 2013. What a blast from the past. Guess ill update with some new work =) . Currently working as a freelancer / Games Design lecturer in UK Crazy to think I've been painting since 2011. And I've loved every second of it. Here's to another 10years!
