I haven't tried texturing in since Maya 2013 so I'm probably missing a step some where...but when I apply my diffuse map my model just appears black in the scene. Here is step by step what I'm doing. 1. Assign new material, Lambert. 2. Click the little checker next to diffuse and assign a File node. 3. Attach my .tga…
May I introduce to you an exciting new training video brought to you by Eat 3D (www.eat3d.com). The instructor starts off by explaining the very fundamentals of using Photoshop for texturing. The second option is to make a mask texture for the walls, and using it as a alpha of a linear interpolate which would lerp between the tiling texture, and your current texture. The second solution would create…

No classes for me this summer! :| ) leleuxart: Thanks! I'll try that. I wasn't quite sure that I was doing with that fresnel. I don't really…
I have been reading the boards for a while and decided to join and start posting. I have learned so much from these boards its amazing. I am an art student living in Seattle and want to get a job in the gaming industry, dont we all. This model has potential i think, but needs texturing or maybe some ideas for a cool…
