Hi. I hope this is the correct forum for this. If not my apologies. I've search the web and have found dozens of sites that sell and distribute free 3D models, but I can't seem to find any that that sell or distribute just the concept artwork specifically for 3D modeling. Something like this. Any ideas? Thank you very…
Hey guys and girls, I'm new to Polycount and new to modelling in general, but I finished a quick pistol prototype and just wanted to share and see if there was any feedback as it is my first model and was fun to make (any feedback is awesome) Made straight away in 3ds, and coloured in photoshop (got the hand of uvmaps now,…
I need a 3d model of a prop from a League of Legends that I will be using for cosplay. It will then be converted into CAD and milled from wood. The person doing the milling is also doing the conversion but if you have both skills I wouldn't mind hearing what it would take for you to do both! Here's a picture of the…
I have a few suggestions, not entirely to do with your model more to do with how you posted, 1.) structure your posts a bit better, you text is currently a wall, a bit hard to read for the quick browser (which could be the difference between a contextual crit) 2.) reference, if your modeling something we need to know what…
So, met up with Gauss and after a few beers I started rambling on about models I had made while I was drunk. Hehe, I suppose I thought it was a good idea to put out to other alcoholic polycounters for a bit of drunken fun. So, here is the challenge. Step 1. Get wasted - 5 beer minimum Step 2. Model somthing in an hour Step…
I was looking through the 'Pimping and Previews' section and I was really intrigued by the high quality presentations people were making for their LP models. In particular I'm seeing allot of the mild background grunge texture, outer glow (Possibly a stroke) and a nice vignette trend going around... I have Marmoset in the…
With your next model i think you'de benefit a lot from modeling a highres model first, and using that to use as a base for your normals. You wouldnt have to model in the fine ornamental detail or anything, but the base shape and things like the trim would look much nicer.
I've decided to start modeling various things from the sketch thread as a project to hopefully improve my modeling skills in a fun way with a lot of variation. I'm planning on modeling characters, props, and mini-environments. Here's the first, basically a warm-up. Concept by Daven And fun with Sketchfab.…
Howdy! I'm new here so i guess it could be a good idea to introduce myself first. I study "digital graphics" at Sofe (School of Future Entertainment) in Karlshamn Sweden. My main passion when it comes to graphics is texturing, had never worked in Maya before I began my education last September. So anyway, on with the real…
