How can I add 3D geometry on a 2D mesh in MayaLT? In 3Ds Max it was this "shell-modifier" which thickened the mesh. Is there anything like this on MayaLT? Heres my mesh. It will have problems showing up correctly in gameengines.
yes i am wondering the same. can you please answer that ? may be Maya 2015 ? if someone purchases Maya core then theoretically they should have everything MayaLT has. it doesnt make sense to buy both MayaLT and Maya core just to have all the Maya tools.
You planning to get a full time job in what field? On Maya LT. Why not just use Blender? It will do exactly what MayaLT does. There are a lot of difference between MayaLT and Maya you can look that up here http://www.autodesk.co.uk/products/maya/compare/compare-products
well the good news is that they finally added MEL scripting and OBJ exporting to MayaLT. The bad news is that its for Subscribers only.. Dick move Autodesk lol. I hope they offer it to perpetual licenses but somehow I reckon you guys will be waiting till 2015 comes out for it to be fixed.…
