MayaLT 2015 wont let me set egde-loops manually

Evening all.

Im following this tutorial: [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QoKVz1o99FE[/ame] for a
traffic light and where he put in the first egde-loop at 1:18, hes able to
put the egde-loop where he wants it to be.

But in my case, the egde-loop just snaps in the middle of the blue box.
What am I missing? Is this a LT version of Maya thing?

Im using the 2015 version with all updates.

Hope someone can help.

You have it set up that way in your tool settings. Click the icon in the upper right corner that looks like a wrench. For future reference any tool that has a square next to it in the drop down menu has tool settings.

Mine was set to equal distance from egde. I had to set it to relative distance from egde.

Now it works as in the tutorial
