they don't provide the cryexporter for 3ds max 2015 with the free SDK anymore because it wasn't ready at that time According to Cry-Adam you also need at least CryEngine vers. 3.6.x for the files exported with 3ds max 2015 to work

I'm looking to find a way to paint in seperate RGBA channels on a mesh in Autodesk Maya 2018. Currently under the vertex paint tools I can only paint under 'RGB' or 'RGBA' or 'A'. Yeah I've rebooted, and I've tried moving out the prefs folder for it to reset but not the entire 2017 folder. I'll try that.
