Current progress with optimising my character's clothing. Had some technical issues I've had to try and get around. Some of the thickness UVs I'll have to deal with later when prepping the low/mid poly. So far I've done the chain-mail, the gloves and vambraces, and the boots.
Hello everyone so mid work on my portfolio piece I decided to start making this wip thread on what Im going to do,what I did and where are we right now so let me jump in :D . First of all I started this as a prop but later on decided hey why dont I also make a scene from it to show of the stuff that my portfolio is lacking…
An absolute monster of an off-road rally high performance twincharged all wheel drive masterpiece fabricated by one of Italy's iconic marques, leaving an indelible impression on those who had witnessed it's racing prowess whilst piloted by equally incredible drivers, way back in the day. Was really supposed to be just a…
Hey folks 👋 I wanted to share a new project I’m working on: a creepy old house environment for my indie horror card game Desecrated Deck (Steam link below if you’re curious 👀). I’ve been doing hard-surface modeling for many years (props, hardsurface, clean shapes — that kinda stuff). BUT… I’ve actually never fully finished…
Hello! I'm making this topic to show some progress as I get through a very ambitious project (for me), trying to reproduce this illustration as a 3D diorama: This is an illustration by a friend, Goblin Spice Trader, who does a lot of very cute (and often NSFW) goblins. I'm pretty sure they're not on this forum, otherwise…
Hey everyone! I'm thrilled to finally unveil my completed game environment! This is a small-scale reimagining of the iconic Roundtable Hold from Elden Ring. My goal was to improve and demonstrate my skills. I introduced archways with statues (inspired by the original concept art), as well as a grand staircase with a runner…
* It'll depend on the overall complexity of the kit and the player's camera perspective. I'd lean towards separating them for the sake of layer management . * Manifold meshes give you some wiggle room for tweaking/offsetting without light leaks, but you'll pay for it with your lightmap and you'll inevitably have some…
Your spec map and gloss map need to be pushed alot, its looking very flat atm. I would say since this is your 1st time texturing try to stay away from Ddo it wont teach you much in the long run. Get together some textures and decals that you want to include on the model. To get a better idea of what you need you should ask…
Have you considered adding customization options? Team colors would be the simplest - let the players choose from a selection of colors rather than just red/blue. Next would be selecting a team icon for the flag, or letting the players choose shapes/patterns for flags carried by the tanks. Finally, let the player replace…
I think what you have here are really nice base buildings that could be elaborated and made more interesting. They look extremely clean; like cleaner than real clean buildings. You have hints of scuffing on the bottom of the first buildings, and on the top of the last, but that's kind of it as far as wear goes. Unique…
