Hey all, I've created a hologram style material that flashes and does a few bits and pieces. It's fine in the material editor and the material itself when in the scene before lighting is built is fine. (see below) When the lighting is built the surrounding bsp's and meshes have crazy lighting. I'm not really sure whats…
Hey! So, I'am researching a way to manage materials and textures for my team. I want something to pre-visualize all materials and the texture that compose those materials. The idea is to avoid, for exemple, duplicated textures/materials. Imagine that I have a group of people that is working on a city, how can I assure that…
Im making a building that's going to be using multiple materials, concrete for the ground, metal for the door handles, wood for the walls etc. What is the best and most optimized approach to do this? Do I use one material that contains multiple material functions? Assign material elements slots to the mesh? Or a mix of…

I see the scroll bars but they don't seem to want to work (probably because there's nothing to scroll to at the moment). How would I add more…
I can 'reset editor material slots' but I would like to delete all material from scene that my object in the scene will be clear with default material?
I’ve been working on a Material in UE5.3, trying to make a autoMaterial for my landscape. Following a bunch of tutorials I ended up with something that works and looks great imo. However, one crucial node to combine the whole thing makes it so opening the Material Instance crashes Unreal. If I remove the node, the Material…
In what application do you want to render? As far I know in several applications the default materials already have a detail textures input, at least I remember seeing inputs in standard Unity material, Mamorset material and there is a detail texture material function in Unreals material editor too.
