Kind of crappy fantasy-ish house/building sketch so far:
Quite a bit to do, although i kind of didn't know how i wanted it to look overall so it has that really bland blocky "The Sims" feel.. oh well i'll see how it goes. :P
Yeah the roof is pretty untouched so it looks pretty gay atm.
EDIT:
Anyone know any good tutorials on how to nail down perspectives? I drew a couple lines and such but i seem to get thrown off easily whenever theres a curve.

What sort of tutorial did you have in mind? You want to be able to draw cubes and cylinders and other shapes in perspective so you can transfer that to more complex stuff?
Moving onto some props for my cooking game mockup. circular fireplace to throw in the background of the gameplay area. Just finished baking, got a few touchups to take care of then onto texturing and some proper particles.
Yo jfletcher this is how to construct ovals in perspective.
If you want to learn perspective properly though i really recommend scott robertsons dvds. Ive never seen a better intro to perspective. Really worth the money imo.
I posted an earlier version of this in the speed-model thread, but then I worked on it some more. I was using this to learn Zbrush beyond just 'load sphere, sculpt with default brush, close program'
I'll be working on the profile more (might indent skull slightly below eye), like for instance making his jaw more angular on the sides, rather than the smooth slope it is now.
slukas, was just wondering about your brush settings in that painting. Did you never set tablet pressure to opacity? I've seen a lot of really good paintings including yours where it looks like it's only ever been set to 'size'. If so, I was interested in how you go about picking each shade in a gradient and what colour palette set-up you use to get the colours fast enough.
great work as usual guys
konstrukt, mr smo, obson, warby, slukas, jasp particularly sharp stuff!
zacd - i'll do some more heads, not really liking it as is
aesir - thanks for the crit i'll nerf the hook. originally gave him 2 hooks instead of the trident but it seemed too far from sprite
telekineticfrog - thanks!
art-machine - thanks art-machine, i will quote you in conversations
wasker -cheers mang
Ruz - cheers ruz, yeah i could see them trying to ineffectually fly like winged monkeys, then falling down with a splash explosion effect
johnnysix - of course yes!
conte - cheers askhat
Killingpeople - cheers cory! going to try and do some more
Started this a couple nights ago. I really wanted to try something out in marmoset, so I figured after watching Razcers awesome AK tut, a gun sounded like a fairly good idea.

Couldn't find a really big picture, so some stuff was guessed at.

Fatcap=idol.
working on a little side project while I anxiously wait to hear back from potential employers. ...stupid labor day
concept comes from guillaume menuel
And if you can't get hired soon I might as well hang up my hat right now.
I found an old attempt at hard edges in zbrush, was a failed attempt but I decided to start texturing it anyways:

Konstruct that is cool
It'll be easier to model having an actual picture, since mental images tend to wash out with time.

prety much exactly 2000 triangles and 1024x1024 diffuse texture no ao bake or anything fancy
That is awesomely awesome looks like a painting.
lamellar armour suit, with very shiny shirt.
And here's my piece - quick sketch; long time since I've drown something. Nothing special - just to test if I remember how to do it.
peace.
looks like the jeeps from Jurassic park 2, amirite? looks good so far
slukas, that totally blows me away. Splendid style.
Seriously stop it.
:P
Wow, thanks for the paintover! Clearly a lot was off by eyeballing it , not least I shorted his neck loads and his head was far wider than normal.
I've overlaid the picture and worked out the rough placement.
kite man... such a good thing you're doing right there, keep it up, please!
Guess who/what.. should be blatantly obvious if I got the silhouette right.
who needs fighting skills when one can run
i did a quick and dirty skinning, and added some stuff like MikeF suggested
hope it doesn't look to rushed, i was going for a more dynamic pose, but ended up with that one.
Warby, nice ship, the texture looks really fun.
