What is the correct pronunciation for Wacom?

Hah, awesome! You're like the first person other than me that I've known to say Zed Brush.
And isn't that how softimage is supposed to be said?
Oh, I also say Way-com. Well, sometime. I say Whack-um sometimes as well. Depends on my mood, yah know?
I go with "Way-com".
"z brush" and "Soft-i-mahge".
What about Maya?
I've heard someone pronounce it "May a" whereas I've always pronounced it like "Mai ya".
+1 to zed brush and I'm assuming most people from the UK will also pronounce it that way.
zbrush = zed - brush
wacom = wa - kom
modo = moe - doe
softimage = soft - e - marge
maya = may - ar (like "mayor", with a higher pitched ending)
edit; actually when I think about it more, wa - kom is more correct than wak - om
Waycom always sounds funny to me (and is apparently incorrect huzzah!). Disappointing that it's the most popular.
I used to say "Zed Brush" as did a bunch of my friends but we eventually came around to saying zeeeeebrush after one of our instructors pointed it out and bugged us about it. Zbrush is one word, it's not z-brush or z brush, the letter isn't it's own thing, so pronounce it like Pixologic do.
I also say it softimaahge, though usually refer to it as XSI. I have also heard people say "maeya" before, which is really weird.
It's a Japanese company, but their European HQ is in Germany.

How do you figure that? There are plenty of examples of a long A sound following a W, even though you weren't serious.

It's originally a Japanese company, so maybe your theory can take foreign import words into account?
wacom = way com

I'm more interested to see the majority of people explain why they pronounce it "way - com" because I can barely think of any word that begins with a wa and isnt followed by a y or an i to sound like "way".
And for the words that I can think of, they are all directly followed by an e in the next letter. For example;
Wales
Wage
Wafer
Wade
Wake
In Wacom's case, there is no y, i or an e after the c so theres no way it should be pronounced "way-com".

My argument still stands, just because they pronounce a whole city incorrectly, it doesn't make it right
Edit #2: It was actually meant to be "Hueco", now I can see why Americans renamed it to Waco and pronounce it like "Way - co" - to make it sound more like its origin.

Everyone around my area calls it wah-kom, which is the official pronunciation (according to Wikipedia).
But ~uguu, strange; some groups of people online call it way-kom *cough* *cough*.
Unity through Internet isn't quite there yet...
I think that was more to do with completely random and mindless topics, whereas this topic is reasonable and loosely graphics related.
