@Frogfish - please finish that first character you posted, like everyone else has stated - her face has sooo much character in it that it begs to be completed!
@BitGem - your highpoly image is so illustrative! those exaggerated curves are so perfect for the pose. Any tips for the hair? I love the big curls and how it flows.
Leyto, jramauri, ranek, thanks for your kind words guys! I am ashamed to say that I am having a hard time finding that version on my hard drives. I think I might have not kept it. Which is really stupid I know... The only thing I can show is a few more views of version 2 here. I know she is not quite up to today standards, but I hope version 3 will be .
About the low poly creature... what do you mean by how many? hours? polygons? Hours I can't really tell because she evolved over time and I kinda frankenstined her together from bits and pieces of earlier models I did that I liked. The triangle count is 2550.
I had no idea this was even a thread. I thought everyone was dumping stuff until 6 pages in and I looked at the dates. Ah well. All I ever do is girls, so I'll post some stuff.
Sweetie Belle (mlp) in Soul Calibur 5. At least my take on her.
First Game Character. Another Jason Chan concept
Anatomy and Cloth Study based on Le Crepescule by William Bourguereau
Anatomy and SSS experiment
Comp based on Concept art by Jason Chan (Underneath it All)
Excellent work brwnbread. Not enough high-quality anatomy work around these days, folks do just enough. Your sculpt nails the pose, forms, every compression and extension. Beautiful.
okay i've been a longtime lurker, and this image was done late last night in a hurry (i work really early) so excuse me for some slight errors. I know there are several issues with her, but i decided to call it done and move on to the next project.
@ablaine flicking through this and suddenly got hit with a blast from the oh some awesome gaming past when I saw your more realistic Beatrice. Now I'm wondering what the rest of the FF9 team would look like in that style
I remember your thread! Good stuff, I like how she came out.
Is the fur coat being done with hairsim? It looks way too good to be cards :O
its shells
@edrice: dude is it that hard to use imagetags on the images you want to show here? works with deviant images as good as with images on any other webspace

Ooh, nice work Swizzle! I did the same art test and didn't get the job! Mine's not as good as yours but here it is anyways:
And here's one of the first characters I worked on.. she's looking a bit dated:
Hazardous - your stuff is always inspiring.
And tsabszy, that hooded chick is absolutely amazing! She looks incredible.
And bogdan, that fur around the barbarian's boots.. I would kill to know how you achieved that effect. Fantastic stuff.
FFXIII's Lightning Farron for my personal animation project-
Still need more anatomy practice.
