We'll start by just drawing a piece everyday, and it can be digital or traditional. Then we'll start to work in some sweet themes to challenge ourselfs! ex. robots, chicks etc.

Don't bother watching the whole thing, only the beginning was mildly interesting.

I really need to do more 2d art.
Here' what I drew today between renders and stuff.
all I did at work today. I draw really really slow .__.
My son and I draw together all the time, and by draw together I mean he orders me to draw batman over and over and over. Here is one of those batman's.
this is awesome kinda reminds me of Modrin from Mass effect.
What do you think?
Dado Almeida , I really like your coloring method. The texture on the skin is cool.
kevlar jens That is one righteous monkey. you really should continue working on it, it crys out for some epic backdrop.
I think this is an awesome idea. So what is our theme going to be for this week?
Well, I'm not the boss here. Maybe this could be decided among mods, or the guys that post more on this thread. But I could leave some suggestions:
Marvel heroes (or Marvel heroes opositing gender (example: female Thor, male Storm, you got it.);
Capcom superstars (Megaman, Jill valentine, Street fighters, etc) vs anime chars (Pikachu, One Piece staff, Ranma, etc);
Futurisc versions of God of War guys;
Etc, etc, etc...

The lack of direction and the diversity of things you could find was one of the things that, to me, has made them very inspirational in my years here. Similar to the opencanvas sessions people use to post up.
And here's another doodle for the sake of an image in the post.
But of course, you guys have to work the way you feel more confortable. And anyway, I even havent posted anything here, so you guys are much better qualified to know how this thread should develop.
This said, let's go back to sketches
I'm very much a beginner when it comes to drawing. I've got myself a graphic tablet but my college tutor and I have decided that I should go back to more traditional techniques before using a digital medium.
So here's a sketch I did yesterday that I'm rather proud of. I'll occasionally post some sketches for you guys to see my progress if anyone's interested.
This took around 2 hours:
I have a quick question: What experience have you guys had in the art world? The pictures you post have such a professional quality to them it's hard to believe you aren't trained artists. I'd love to start producing concept art like those you have posted so any help and suggestions is most welcome
Personally, I'm just getting in to the professional field doing small contract stuff and sending out resumes like crazy.
Few more sketches from me. Might mess some more with some of these later, maybe give me some paints to post next time.
30min doodle setting everything up!
Got to get back into regularly sketching ;')
