looking at wrapping this project up by the end of the week. Posed out, made a pedestal, tweaking spec maps and lighting. Feedback is always appreciated.
New character! Adventurer/Knight type dude. Shooting for 2500 Tris + 512 texture for him, with 500 Tris + 256 texture for the sword and shield. Just finishing up the UVs and onto texturing.
Still poking away at making this kit useful. Project keeps growing LOL! I just finished playing Reach for the first time and got very inspired by the cityscapes so screw it Im just gonna make this thing big.
We created this Hack 'n Slash Management game during the Global Game Jam! I was responsible for all the 3D stuff on the screen(environment, characters, textures.
some spec and lighting tweaks. The base was distracting from the rest of the model so I toned down the spec. I also up'd the spec values on some of the metal bits to try and create some hot points in the image. Hopefully that gets the viewers eye to go up and down the image, rather than get stuck on one shiny bit.
#1 was last nights image, #2 is the updated version
remmers - That looks fantastic! And a great little gameplay concept too. Is your lighting/shading all baked in? And is there much pre-planning behind this kinda thing or do you just wing it as you go along?
Thanks @stabbington. The environment is all baked in, the characters are realtime. The jury asked us the same question. We didn't create anything of the concept are assets before starting the jam this friday. We started with a heavy brainstorm and pushed this concept out in about 4 hours. The other hours were ust focussed on building it complete as possible
Just a rough out high poly sculpt of a character idea ive been working on
Im currently in the process of retopoing the body mesh which is why there is not a whole lot of details in the model, I like to sculpt the little stuff after I retopo and then unwrap.
Any tips or comments, likes or dislikes would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance. I also have some rough 2d concepts for these guys.
Calling this one done I think unless anyone picks up on anything
Learned alot from doing the small scene as it has been my first attempt at 100% hand painted props but I am ready to go back to some hard surface modelling now :poly142:

Any chance of seeing those flats? That is some gorgeous, clean work! Maybe I could pick up a few tricks :poly122:
cool stuff peeps! unnamed1800:your forms are looking kinda lumpy, like his body is made of mashed potatoes and not muscles and bones. try sticking closer to real-life reference for his clothing and pay attention to the shapes and that kind of thing. I like the concept, so keep it up! t4paN:cool character, man! wester:digging that charmander, and I'm pretty excited to see what it will look like with your textures on it Emar:that katana is looking siick! pinkbox: the neck/jaw area looks kinda bloated and her left boob looks a little flat, but that could be the lighting. and i'd recommend looking at some more reference for the drapery.
Been messing around with Cryengine and made a couple of props to populate a scene I'm working on. The Cryengine is simply stunning to work with! I'll hopefully have some shots in-game soon.
Ahoy, this is my first real sculpt in zbrush for a mini challenge. I'm still very new with zbrush and I'm a bit slow I think. Hoping to have the sculpt finished by the weekend.

Still blocking things out on the Architect for Kingdom Death.
Working on a presentation layout. Gonna sleep on it for now. More lighting tweaks and some slight value changes to the leather straps done as well.

It's now my wip to progress in environment.
That looks amazing! It would be amazing to see your lighting set up as I am doing something similar to that!
Third one is my TrollFace. Sorry for the size!
