I've been working on a Mean Machine from the Judge Dredd/ 2000AD universe redux in my spare time for a little while now and thought he's about ready to show.
Most of the forms are now blocked in (apart from the boots), before breaking the subtools up and pushing a fine detail pass on a higher subdivision...if my computer can handle it!
I've started a new thread where I'll be posting my progress, in a bit more detail, as I go along as well...
crazyfool: Wait. What. I dont even... Good lord, man, for 1 hour, you're doin' alright.
Made a few last minute material tweaks and fixed up my presentation a bit. Here's my final beauty shot for the ArenaNet challenge. More details are in my thread.
it's supposed to be Josh Brolin, everybody else got it haha
EVIL - haha I got a really good basemesh and workflow that means its quite quick to put stuff together, I have a time lapse I might put up later
mr ace - cheers man, it's a bit of both but it's very slap dash as next step is to start putting details in, so the polypaint will help out loads. I'm too busy to post more stuff haha, you need to post more too bud haha
PDC - thanks man
slaught - cheers man, hopefully he's more recognisable after the next pass
Hey scott. What year/model nissan is this? The way the main body crease softens behind the rear wheel arch and then sharpens again into the trunk lid looks a little awkward. Not sure what the real car looks like but right now that line doesn't flow.
Heya Alec! Its a Nissan 200sx s14a, my favorite car (I actually nearly bought one a few weeks ago) and in an effort to sharpen up a couple of areas I figured it would be good to work on a model of one in my spare time.
I definately agree with what you said, so that combined with some critique from Laurens, Helder and Jeff Parrot I had a look at the rear area again, taking the line from the side further back on the car and adding another pinch in the top of the boot lid. I also curved the rear bumper upwards as I found some better references demonstrating that.
You guys are all so talented! Keep posting all that inspirational artwork for my eyeballs!
And here's some more ArenaNet internship poop for you to look at. Good luck to all applying; I'm incredibly intimidated by all the serious competition this year!
Starting to get closer to the feeling I'm going after with the lighting, and yay, I learned particle effects in CryEngine! Dust! Cockroaches! Lol.. Also, adjusted some props to absorb light better, adjusted composition, etc..
great job everyone! I´ve finally found some time to finish this old project on Bane that I started working on some time ago. Does anyone know what these artifact brown dots are? and how do I get rid of those? I got them while switching between low to high subdivision levels..
Started working on him again made slight changes to the face to break up the symmetry a bit. Played around with some BPR filters in zbrush.
Started modeling the rest of him will show some progress soon... hope you like.
learnin' me some Fiber Mesh....all I gotta say is grooming long hair is kicking my arse at the moment:poly124:....Felicia fought with a hair dryer and lost

Very nice work.

@r0xmys0x
Very cool style on those sculpts.
Like the old man a lot!
@Swizzle
Cool proportions and face looks great too!
@FAT_CAP
If that's just the block-out I can't wait to see the finished piece.
@Dado
Very fun character!
Been fuzzing with this stylized female body.
Love the look and feel, have you got a website for the game?
Thank you so much for giving us the time laps, how long did it take? Fantastic work, are you going to do any more on this project?

Even though I'm done with this guy, I would really love to hear your comments on my WIP thread: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=107159.
the reference...
Throwing some semi-flat colors on this dude. Not sure what to do about the jacket. It looks so boring right now. Thoughts and Ideas welcome. Thread
This was actually for GameArtisans chibi contest, but I never actually got around to doing it.
Crossposting progress on my wolf dude.
What is this I don't even
Guess what my new facebook cover photo is
great sculpt
(marmoset render)
nicer lighting but your wood doesnt look much like this concept, the grain needs to be much smaller and more detailed so that the scale feels right, check out ref like this http://zeospot.com/modern-home-design-by-ruud-visser-architects/picture-21-of-a-house-in-a-church-by-ruud-visser-architects-contemporist/ and cartoonify it if necessary.
Thread here
some pics from my latest project, just to get better at modular buildings and textures and using ndo2
