@ Jackwhat, great as usual, look forward to seeing more.
@ richwderby, getting there man! I'd experiment with some more shadows in your textures, also, look into baking ambient occlusion to break up the flatness.
@ popeye9, scene is coming along nicely! I agree with the comment that the grating looks a bit low poly.

Ok so I decided to get cracking on a new character and picked up from a kinda crappy concept I did a while back...
Haven't made a normal mapped character in a while so I thought I'd be a bit more realistic but stylized with this fella. (still a lot to do and haven't really touched the face much.)
...Also did this very very bad quick bust from a cube just to get back into zBrush (hadn't used it for like 2 months!)
Training of this afternoon, I wanted to know if after sculpting a ton of faces I could actually try to do a good one on 2d without any ref. I hope its not too desaturated/without contrast (I have two screen fighting over the right balance and I don't know which one is right so please tell me)

Here's a gif of the progression. please ignore this shitload of failed sketches before it actually start to ressemble a human being, I feel reallyashamed and it actually cost me to show you this...
Getting close to being finished with this. Still need to add logos and brake calipers, but a little unsure as to what else I should do. Critiques would be immensely helpful.
@ JFletcher: HAHAHAHAHA AWESOME. Killer Koala bear. I soooooo wish they were that cool in real life. They sound like a devil, but are more likely to pee on you from a great height than battle you mortal kombat style. Always happy to see some more rads from you.
@Gyrfal distinguish the difference between the wheels and the tires more. There really isnt enough shape there which is making that section look real odd
All of your guys' work is incredible, I legitimately just browse this thread all the time. I hope to have anything worth showing here sometime soon.
Loving the paintings just like everyone else. What do you guys suggest for color/lighting studies? I was thinking I might copy movie scenes or stills, I know someone else was doing that as practice for composition in here.
Anything look like it's going a bad direction on this guy?
viv, this is great!
a lot of great painting around here lately.
makes me kinda shy about posting my stuff.)
Never done no concepting in my life. But kinda realized the need for it. So here goes:
I could produce a pic of such quality in about 6 hours and getting faster. How do you think guys. could this be considered as an actual concept in a work environment? and how fast do you really have to produce them?
C&C greatly welcome! I gotta improve in that thing. And there's a lot of room for improvement.
Deceiver- I would definitely change the texture on the plane. It is reading exactly like the rocks that it is sitting on. Break it away from the ground and change the color of the rocks if you plan on keeping the plane texture color the same. It is also to noisy right now.

It might be just me but the lower legs look a tad too short, making him look shorter in general. Or maybe the head is slightly too big but something is definitely off.
