Final flaregun (The Fire Dispenser?) is go. Clipping problem has been fixed to "good enough" stage. Starting UVs right now.
I'm still having trouble thinking of any more name options for these things. I'd say that's a sign that my theme isn't as cohesive as it should be. Ah well, them's the breaks.
Actually I like the Fire Dispensor, though Hartburner does have a nice ring.
Whats the actual gauge there connected to? I get the tube but the gauge looks like it's just being held up with good looks.
I made it for the stock valve flare. Considering the time I have left and the fact that you only see it for maybe a quarter second I think it'll be ok.

Pretty much. In real life it may be held up with the hose clamp if it were a thick enough tube. At this point though, I'm at the "Whatever, get it the $@!% done!" stage. Unless you really think it should be fixed.
Oh yeah, I'll also try and get that maya shader set up for when I have a texture on this sucker.
I'm not at home so I can't do PO but I guess you could move/rotate the gauge back just enough so that it touches that tube behind it, then add alittle connecting plate or something. it's probably not really that big a deal, it's just the first thing I noticeed when I lokked at it.
I think it's good as is. That area won't be very visible in the w_model and completely invisible in the v_model so I don't think it's necessary. Besides, I'm getting tired of modeling this damn thing. :P

cool, in that case you should really spend some more time focusing on the inside barrel of the gun, it could use some really fine engraving and little modeled-in detail like screws and and maybe some moving parts. this area has been far too neglected if you ask me...
Wait the inside of the barrel? Or the surface of the barrel? Because it makes less sense for screws to be jutting out of the inside surface.
I'm honestly not sure what other smaller details I could add that would make sense. I think it's pretty much modeled and I really need to move on or else I won't even finish.

...internet sarcasm fails again...
just ignore me and get back to work on those textures bud.
I think the axe is perfect except for that logo on the handle. It doesn't need anything there in my opinion and it's going to be covered with hands most of the time.
Flaregun is looking nice but get some smoothing on it!
Flaregun model and UVs are done. Taking a quick break and then it's time to fight Maya for a decent AO map and some flat color. Also a possible name for the axe. The Critboost? Critbooster? Kritbooster?

I think everyone's right, the logo will be gone shortly. Also, yay smoothing!
why not a scorched fedora with some teeth or playing cards strapped to the rim?
or something of this matter... you see, since the original hats are cool you can simply remake (not copy) them and then modify to the level of AWESOMENESS!
Should be simple enough to make a scorched hat...if you could figure out how to add a particle effect of fire or smoke it would be one of the best in the game.
Ironically I used the company with the most generic name in the game. "General Industries Co.", I mean c'mon.
I may play with it a bit when I finish up the axe texture, make it smaller or somesuch.
The name isn't that generic, especially considering that while it's a company that already exists in TF2, it isn't an extremely over-used company such as Mann Co.
So I liked it.
I liked that you used an already existing company, that wasn't as generic as the ones other people would have chosen.
Quick update. Just flat color on the flaregun as of yet. I fell asleep at my desk during the night and didn't exactly get much done. I've got somewhere to go so expect the next update around early morning.
Not sure if the barrel needs some color as well or if just metal will do.

4_Thirty_5's axe name gets my vote - the Bombahawk

can you rotatate the camera from here so it's looking down on the gauge? like a 75 degree angle?

Oh god, I love you so much for not using a generic company logo for your axe

Heh, sorry. I guess I'm a bit higher strung than I thought right now. Thanks for the comments.

o3o
Not terribly efficient, but it'll do.

I'll give it a try, getting back to the axe after the flaregun for touchups.
Hudda hudda.
What's the third item? I might have missed it
Oh man I missed that one. That's gold right there. Mind if I adopt it Khthon?
will it be another class's hat or a mutant hat made of other hats?
Ah crap, my plot has been uncovered. I can definitely say that the hat is going to be the weakest item in this pack.
Thanks!

I liked it, made it looked like the original Axe before altered by Pyro was a weapon made by a company. Also, by a company that isn't generic as hell.
... "Lumberjack loggers INC."?...

What :S
If he wants a company that already exists in the game and is related to logging...

exactly

I know what you mean but scrotching just sounds... wrong...
