I like the idea of the gold, and I've got some good ref but the execution just ain't working out. The weapons in the game are all very flat with few colours so right away it doesn't look right.
the area with the skulls is kinda small in the UV's, the whole sshape is almost a quarter of the map but that area is a little small. and Sparkwire's supposed to be animating it so I don't want to change the uv's either...
guess it's a good thing I gave myself a week to get this thing done right;)
I think I like the top two and the bottom right, cause they're still kinda simple.

Khyton, I think those white splotches are salt water damage. If ya took a look at those color swaps i did, theyve got the same thing.
I do like how youve executed the wear and tear, looks good!
lighter harpoon, with and without brass trim. I dunno I just think team colours on the weapons look silly and except for the boxing gloves I can't think of any that have em anyway.
Hmm... maybe make the back of the air canister and main body white like you have it to keep the white and go with the silver metal, but make the scope brass?

Looks great dude! My biggest crit would have to be the blinding white body on this thing. I think the light grey you had on it a few pages back was really nice. Other than that I would just say maybe tone down the rust looking brush strokes around the front support, they look too dark and are too offset from the actual support.
nah there's no spec map yet, from what I could tell going through the files I didn't think they were using them except for shiny/reflective things. getting it in-game, yeah I'm kind of avoiding that... here's a little diff trim though just for you:
Hahaha, this one's funny. It looks like something straight out of Monkey Island. That being said, don't use it. I saw nothing wrong with the gray coloring scheme, although I guess it's a bit too average. Off-white and gray looks nice, just make sure that the scope isn't too out-of-place with the rest of the coloring scheme. I'd also advise taking off the Heavy skulls, it's a bit too much detail. The engraving on the SMG grip is a bit too much too, I'd say. If you want to do an engraving do a simple decorative one, or at the very least, a dead Heavy with a harpoon through his head. And what's up with the little "MANN CO." plaque? It doesn't look like much except wasted tris.
I just don't understand why you'd go with a Moby Dick-themed pack. It seems pretty counterproductive since it's not at all related to the Sniper, and Valve isn't really going to look very highly upon that. A harpoon seems like it would be fine if you downplayed the nautical aspects of it, but judging from the hat/pipe I see you're not really aiming for that kind of thing (no pun intended).
Oh yeah, and one more thing, jiggleboned rope segments on the ends of the harpoons that you stick into your enemies, please.
LOL, I dont think you can please all of them scudz, but you can please a majority of em. Hold a poll or something, so you can tally up the votes and see which skin is most popular. I've been doing that on deviant art. Now that the trim are bronz in the lastest post, i dont like how the scopes bronze too. Kinda, wierd looking.
I noticed your textures look a bit compressed, and you probably don't want this.
If you have the .vtf photoshop plugin, might I suggest making it BGRA8888 and unchecking mipmaps. This will give you a sexy looking texture.

If you want bronze, try a more subtle one, one that goes with the blue.
