I was never impressed with shots from Fallout. I am aware that there is some amazing art in the game, but Gamebryo looks terribly dated nowadays. Lack of environment shadows is killing it for me.
I hope that Bethesda will finally drop it in the near future.
Makes me wonder however, how (and IF) they are going to include a "plugin" system similar to the one from Morrowind/Oblivion/Fallout. I don't think it would be an exaggeration to say that, it's one of the reasons why this series is so popular on PC. I cant even imagine playing Bethesdas game without mods.
edit: oh, there is a sequel of sorts to Neverhood, called Skull Monkeys. It's meant to be more of an action-y game, and I've never played it. So clearly not a real sequel, but same people, same world.
i just realized that the extended left and right part is just image edit from ppl
but the middle vertical part is true ...
btw i want this game
XD!
Flashback that was a very good game, especially with the animation and controls of the main character.
People your supposed to be naming your games it saves the tedium of, "what is it?" replies, obey me or reap the fury of the Angry Internet Man:poly127:.
Sorry to detract, but every good female character has a cameltoe - Great find odium! Hard to go past Ballo's comicon entry last year either - what a champion he is!
Eye of the Beholder: I remember this game when i first played it took me hours to get out of the sewer look at how menacing that kobold is!!!!
I played through about a year or so ago and nearly finished the game in an hour.
Brilliant. Just imagine what we'd be getting from Tom Hall now if he hadn't hitched his wagon to the Romero crazy train. At the very least we'd have the entirety of Anachronox by now.
M.A.X.:
One of my favourite oldschool strategy games. The underdog of Turnbased strategy which got lost in the wake of C&C.
Btw: The sequell was really bad as it tried to jump on the c&c RTS train. Therefore they got rid of many features which made the first game outstanding.
Basicly it's not a good idea to morph a game design which is optimized for turn based strategy into an rts design.
Maybe someone remembers. Its still playable on DOSbox.
daaaaang, Zaeed is gnarley looking, I'm going to stop by Omega tonight to recruit him. Does anyone know if his likeness is based on a real person like some of the other characters?

He seems to be somewhat inspired in look and personality by Robert Muldoon from Jurassic Park (as is TF2's Sniper). He doesn't look exactly like the actor Bob Peck, but there is some resembelence there.
The newest S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (Call of Pripyat) finally made it to North America on Tuesday. I snagged a copy of the Collector's Edition (just came with nice packaging, a map, and some stickers) for $40 at my local Target. This is by far the most stable S.T.A.L.K.E.R. to date - I haven't had a single crash or broken mission. The maps are much larger, and they've improved on everything from weapon upgrading to mutant animation and sound to artifact collection and unique anomalies.
The graphics are beginning to show the age of the engine, but I agree with IGN when they said that this is a case where art triumphs over tech.

Nevermind an update, I'd be happy just to see the originals (1 and 2) on Steam or GOG.
Rise of the Triad was hilariously over the top.
It wasn't the greatest of games, but it does have one of my favourite cutscenes of all time.

I fucking love that game.
Best.
Ever.
(Now if only I could figure out how to work it with lan )
The ending of that game SUCKED. Loved it up to that point, though.
Yeah, that'd be epic.. But a number 3 wouldn't hurt either :P
Exactly, since FEAR2 was a bit of a disappointment for me tbh.

Disciples 2 - GREAT!!
Loved this game, artwork was fucking amazing and game was fucking hard.
Too bad we still have to wait for DIII. Its been released in Russia already, but I havent heard any news about English release.
True, the game was brutally hard! If you made one wrong move on some of the timed quests you were screwed!
Where is b1ll ?! he worked on disciples! *bows down*
Graphics arent bad, the cutscenes look an episode of thunderbirds though.
Just some Mass Effect 2 screenshots I found that look pretty neat.
Is it just me, or is that diamond plate metal ridiculously large?

Raptor. one of my fav top down shooters.
crysis is beautiful, but not exactly a spectacular example of art direction or a nostalgic/amazing game. Just shader/photograph porn.
