This is a game art forum and I've been wondering why their isnt a thread for people to post screenshots of games they are currently playing(perhaps to busy to play games)?
It could be used as a resource/reference or as a bit of fun.
There's two rules.
ALWAYS post the name of the game.
NO posting scoreboards.
If I'm being impertinent or out of order then slap me back down like the bitch I am.:poly124:
Mirrors Edge. Its fooking Bootifull.
Alien Shooter. You shoot alot of aliens.

dorfs!
(u'r not one of them, are u?
anyone recognize this?
Still playing it daily.
Might & Magic 5 \o/
Wild 9!
Fuck me sideways, I thought I was the only person who played those games.
I still remember how amazed I was when I realized you could combine Clouds of Xeen and Darkside of Xeen into one, hella big game. But when I saw the amount of floppies those games came on, I literally shat bananas.
i bought the collector's edition, still when 3DO was alive. came with all the maps and everything -- and the combined Worlds of Xeen game. hours and hours of great classic rpg madness. the artwork was so beautiful... so many creatures hand-drawn, quite a stock for that time. finished it all the way to the end... a real pearl of gaming.
I loved the games for exactly the same reasons.
I played it first in 1996 if I recall correctly. My PC was pretty shit back then and didn't even have CD drive :P. From what I've heard the differences between CD release and original were rather minor.
Might and Magic VI however is my favourite game in the series; killing hordes of monsters has never been so fun; music and atmosphere were amazing.
I really miss New World Computing; ever since Ubisoft took over the rights to the Might and Magic franchise, things were not the same. TBH I gave up my hopes of getting a proper sequel to the series after HoMM IV and HoMM V murdered the whole background story.
Here's a screeshot from the Native American mini-expansion. It's a lot of fun to play as your tactics are much different compared to the European factions:
the first 3d version aye, i played that. it was pretty good... the laters one were not. i prefered the older style that was very unique and consistent with might n magic and heroes, very shiny and vibrant. the 3d adaptation lacked that, but the gameplay was equally interesting.
i agree, there's little hope to see the 3do-spirit revived. it was a small team, back then, that had the guy with the long weird name presiding over the whole thing and maintaining the same look and feel on all MM-related titles. but i thought homm v was surprisingly good. not of the same world, i agree, but still very much alike the older titles and very well produced.
another great title i fear will never see a proper sequel is jagged alliance... oh ivan, when o when
them dorfs man, them dorfs!!!
I've heard that it's nothing less than incredible once you get past the ascii and get to know the world.
There are mods which make the graphics more human readable. I tried it for a bit but I couldnt get past the interface, the menus, and micro managing a bunch of drunk dwarfs.

Basically it runs beside your game window and renders everything you're doing in isometric 16 bit (Ithink) graphics, and you just use the actual game window as basically your control console. It's really nice, full 360 rotation, etc. I've been making sprites for it, etc. Its pretty cool.
also; that AVP screenshot is insane. Is that seriously in game? Man.
shin megami tensei digital devil saga.
(it's pretty cool but the demon designs for the main characters bother me, they should have, imo, just done it smt3:nocturne style.)[/QUOTE]
Well, I call it super infected.:)
I think they over did the mouths, but I like the main with the arm blades. I really should complete it, though I'd rather complete nocturne, except its too hard.:poly122:
A couple of Lucifers Call(aka Nocturne) screenys I forgot I had.
once you get past the controls, this game is kinda addicting (monster hunter freedom 2)
and of course
Fook yessss!
I remember this lich from BGII ripping me a new one :X
not my screenshot though
So glad someone knows this game! Something about it was the starting point of replay value in games for me.
+1 to this man, i started playing the series at Might & Magic III !!
What a game.
Heres a Tester for people:
LOVED THIS SERIES, brought the gold box set and individual games - at one point owned them ALL!
I Know, right!? God damm TIMESTOP, All seeing eye, Gate, Gate, Maze, Timestop, Maze, teleport = half you party gone in the first 3 seconds!
Surprisingly enough, one of my friends beat that mofo solo! That was on Insane with Tactics installed.
Then again - he rolled a monk. Once you leveled him up to something around lvl 25, you could spawn 10 black dragons only to see them running away after few seconds.
Good times.
Me too:) My first rpg and played it many-many times. Thanks New World Computing!
Pool of Radiance
Erm, your probably right, its Alien Shooter Vengence on my steam list. Arent their games mostly the same though?
Ohhhhh weve got ourselves a connoisseur!!!
First rpg's I ever played were this series, followed very closely by New world computings M&M series! Makes me want to play again!
Wow that`s a long fukcin neck! I really like how Rebellion hold their ground against the stupid australian cenzors and won in the end! Hope the story will be good as well.
Pre-ordered AvP this weekend along with Mass Effect 2 and Battlefield Bad Company.....aaaaand probably will buy Bio shock 2 as well just to see the environments which were so cool in the first one:poly122: Not sure when I will find the time to play them all but there are some really cool games coming out in 2010 and it`s only January, what`s going on
Hey, don't forget the original NWN
I tried really hard, but I just hated Pools of Radiance/Darkness. I was more into Dungeon Master, Eye of the Beholder, Krondor/etc.
I remember in around 1996 AOL had a really site where you could download really terrible RPGs. It's where I found NWN the first time
Torchlight
EVE
I didn't take this one...but it is so awesome. L4D.
let alone - has anyone finished it???
