Alright so I just finished the HP model of this street lamp a few days ago. I really need some advice/ideas on what to put in the bottom, for now I just have the year since that is what the reference I was working from had. Other than that one section I am pretty happy how it turned out, I just finished the lowpoly version and will begin working on the textures tomorrow
Still working on this guy.. Highpoly head and body finished, all that's left is the legs. Here's a quick render from the lowpoly version with the current maps applied. Cannot wait to have this thing done. Weighs in at 5046 and is staying that way, unless something goes horribly wrong .
I'll post the highpoly version after the legs are done, it's been fun to work on so far.

upper heads with normal map, diffuse and specular
middle heads only diffuse texture
lower heads only a 64x64 with 16 colours

This looks cool man, curious how you did all the filigre. Is that just zbrush alpha stamps? Looks really clean.
Yeah, now they have banshees that complete rip ground units to shreds more than any SC 1 unit (besides BC's Y cannon (and have cloak)), and vikings which are great AA vs everything but muta.

Yeah I made some alphas in photoshop using some floral brushes, than used them as stencils in mudbox. Once I got the patterns thrown on I went in with the sculpt brush to bring out some of the details I liked - it was a lot of fun to make.

and yes the texture must take some extra attention i generate it from the big texture but for a ds screen with no anti alising works fine for now...

take some femal references...take the low lip back a bit, watch the eyes and cheekbones
japhir that's a nice base mesh man, perhaps give her more cheek bone and smaller chin/
smaller ears maybe.
might be worth adding a few more loops to get the eye shape better also. they seem to end rather abruptly right now with an open edge.

I've changed my main background to more of a mid tone cool gray blue, what do you think? Also, I do know that a portfolio website is supposed to be simple and show off the art as much as possible, but is this really too much design elements? I mean, I think my site should look good too as well as show off my art simply and easily.

I have to agree with MaD, It feels really sterile over all. You just kind of have these gradients running in every direction with some basic text set on top. Maybe check out some of the big dogs sites and get your creativity going a bit more!

Hey man, I am by far no expert on anatomy but here is a really quick paintover outlining the stuff I thought could be changed. I couldn't get the 3/4 view right with the liquify tool so I just made notes on that one hehe.

Not an alien?...Ok:P Anyway, looks good though the face could use some real changes. Right now it looks like someone botoxed it loads/is tugging on her skin, pulling all the skin back. Design is pretty cool though:). Study some facial anatomy and give some mass and weight to the skin/muscles.
NOTE: Don't take this as a personal attack, more as constructive crits:)
Na...face stays as it is...I had her more human looking first (proper nose, more 'human' ears), but I wanted her to look different.
(For her back-story...her species was concocted by a power-hungry corporation to churn out cheap, efficient and disposable soldiers...she has mostly human DNA, but also different animals, plants and even some alien DNA...)
