Hey guys.. long time no post.. been working on a Poster Design for class.. I'll throw the images in here for now, but I'll also start my own thread.. seeking critique, suggestions, opinions of which variation looks the best, ideas to make it better.. it's pretty much done, but I want to make this a solid portfolio piece.. thanks a bunch..
I like the contrasting background of the second one, but not the more severe contrast you've introduced in the second image. The Matrix scroll of the background is pass
Anwar"MindTraveler"- The wall sculpt looks so good, I wish I could do the hard surface borders like you did on that piece, they are very nice.
Prophecies- That dome will look so nice when it's finished [based off of your previous work].
Scudz- The face on that guy is great looking, the goggles seem a tad off though, I don't get the sense that they are securely on his head. Love the lip ring as well.
Not really working on this one anymore, but I just want to make sure lots of people see this one before it disappears in the void.

female sculpt started from zspheres. First time working with them, so I have density problems everywhere at the moment. Going to rough in rest of forms, retop and go from there
very nice pelvis area - not seen this done before and like it immensely. Feet are odd though.
Andrew Mackie: thanks man, I'll see what's up with the goggles. I think it may be the loose placement of the straps + heavy shadowing. Ferg and Catstyle: It's the old Alan Rickman, you're not worth my time syndrome... or at least it's supposed to be;)
little update, looking for a good body, hands to follow: #1 would mechanical stuffs Treasure Planet style #2 is a sorta space-centaur #3 is standard hmanoid #4 are kinda long gorilla-limbs and a tail.
Niwon, you have some good topology going there, but the actual anatomy looks off. First and foremost, it just looks pillowy and ill-defined. I'd suggest going back to your high-poly and resculpting it so it has better muscle definition in the legs and arms and a more sinewy feel near the feet.
Try looking at reconstructions of other dromaeosaurs to get an idea of how you could make it look better. The skull of the adasaurus is described as being very similar to other dromaeosaurs, so try to bring it more in line with something like velociraptor or deinonychus.
Oh, and I'd suggest getting rid of most of those feather planes. While they may be pretty likely as far as the science goes, they just look terrible and they're wasting a ton of tris.
Progress on a UDK map I'm putting together for class. This is a floor tile I'm working on. I still have to fix a bunch of issues with it, especially the seams, but it's definitely a learning experience.

I definitely love your UFO concept
Hey guys, here's a short update on our minigame we are trying to finish for a TigSource.com contest
So did you ever explain this magic technique or are you keeping it in your pocket?

@scudz - agree with catstyle, nice attitude on that one

and yeah I'll start up a thread proper soon;)
Scudzalmighty, I would go with 4 or 2, but my preference goes to 4.
Here's a little scene I'm working on to test out modular modeling. Still VERY early WIP. You might see a thread pop up here pretty soon...

Only textures are on the control panel thing.. otherwise it's vector colours
EDIT: cubemaps!
awesome aliasing maybe a bit harsh and the yellow spec/glow is looking too neonish atm, but nice work
Looking real sick, man!
Small update, retoped and went back to sculpting...now with feet barely started!
I'm selling it here.
