All the Stalker games are great, but SOC is amazing imho. The games have such a great atmosphere. CS is probably the best looking of the series, but the lease favored and COP i enjoyed a lot, but SOC remains the one to get imo.
The games basically center around a second explosion at the Chernobyl NPP, you take on quests like in RPG's to uncover the story. There's no XP or leveling system, basically the armor and weapons you have set how formidable you'll be. The game has a great ballistics system where bullets will drop with gravity/drag. Don't expect to play this game Halo style of shooting less you'll be dead in the first minute, it's more of a strategic shooter than run and gun.
And remember, you WILL die a lot. In many different ways, and it's cool. Also nice playing a game with a different flavour to what we normally have from the west.

It comes free with new Deus Ex Augmented edition. So i'll get it with that when I eventually pay for it. Already played through it about 10 times back in the day though.
Metro 2033 for a third of the price of a McDonalds meal. I finally picked it up now. And anyone else who didn't own it before, I think you don't have much excuse anymore :P So cheap! Gonna dive into it in a few days.
I picked up Fable 3, its pretty fun but theres some definite awkwardnes..like having to dance with a male merchant to get 25% of his items...I'm playing a dude btw
