Hello Polycount,
I am a creative passionate CG Artist who has great skill in 3D Graphic modelling, texturing, rigging and animation. I also show technical attributes in conceptual art and thrive in obtaining new skills among digital art community.
I plan on working in the video games industry, however I am also keen on making an impression in the visual effects and movie industry also.
I may come across as a generalist in my field of work but my key artistic traits are High poly sculpting im Zbrush and digital concept painting.
I'm an aspiring videogame designer. I've been designing my own characters and concepts for years, with works such as Agent Xavier, Jellybob, Koro, Noble, and several others. I was notified about this website by HeavyPerscription of DeviantART. (As of now, I'm unaware of what name he might be using here.)
At this point, you can see any artwork I've posted relating to my work thus far on my DeviantART page. http://lugbzurg.deviantart.com/
When I first came here, I saw a whole slew of valuable information and success stories from those who have broken into the industry.
I hope that I will be able to add to this one day.
Hello polycount posters. I'm Rachel. Kind of new to the whole 3d modeling gig but liking it a lot. Have also been a long time lurker and am now joining the fray.
Hey people of the Polycount Community. I'm just a kid in highschool that likes to mess around with 3D modeling and texturing. Usually the main focus of my modeling is put towards making mods for games in the Elder Scrolls series, the Fallout series, and very rarely I will make mods for Dragon Age: Origins. My username on the nexus websites is usually "popcornrulez". Please also note that I haven't posted many mods for these games, but I have mods that I haven't finished yet.
Hello Polycount. I have been interested in 3D modelling since a young age, but unfortantly i havn't been able to make a single 3D model as of yet. The closest i ever came to making one was when i attempted to create a human torso in 3DsMax (with a template ofc), it didn't go to well and i didn't save it. I wish to become a 3D modeller so i can use the models for video games i wish to create some day. If anyone is interested in me just PM me.
I have also been struck by motivation issues when it comes to 3D modelling, this problem extends to other creative outlets btw.
Greetings. I have never done any modeling before but I am currently experimenting a bit to see wether I'm any good. Polycount seems like a friendly community, which would be perfect for my questions that will eventually arise.
Hi there! I'm a games concept student at Staffordshire University, currently in my final year, raring to start becoming an active member of this community with my creations.
Hello Polycount, I do mostly animation and modeling for tv, but am starting up on a mobile game side project. Seemed like a great time to join this community. Cheers.
I've been fascinated by the realm of 3D Modeling since I was introduced to it in a "Making Of" video for the first Disney "Aladdin" movie (the carpet). I've been, for the last few years now, going to school with an emphasis on modeling for games, but an overall emphasis on modeling for movies. I hope to much better hone my abilities here since there are so few specialized modeling schools in the state I live in.
Thanks for letting me join; I've always looked at Polycount as the master collection of 3D Talent and super gurus and am now finally at the stage that I think asking questions (rather than lurking) will actually benefit me (rather than confuse me).
I was referred to this forum by my Unity contractor who suggested this would be a great place to post my job opening for some good at making 3ds max buildings.
We have two projects, one to build Unity games for every prison in Maryland and the second to rebuild the Pluckemin Artillery Cantonment from the American Revolotionin Unity.
Unity is the future of GIS as far as I am concerned.
So when I get approved i will post that job in the right place, paid positions.
Hi Polycount. I've already posted a few things but I've mostly lurked u x u I've had my account for years but have been too intimidated to post. I'm still intimidated. But I'll just deal with it xD
I'm a student studying game art and design, and i want to focus in concept art/illustration.

Hey all my name is Matt. I have been browsing the forums and have decided its time I start posting to take advantage of the help I could receive and also pass on anything I may learn.
As instructed by the institute where I study at AIE, Melbourne, I am to create an account here at the polycount forums. Hopefully it will help me learn more and get me out of the many death pits I fall into when trying to wrap my head around the many things there are to 3D Art.

So I read the regulations and am making my first post right now, hoping that I'll be "moderated".
All the best,

There. I wrote it.

Used to lurk here in ages past, when this was only an archive for replacement models re-skins for Quake-engine game player models.
Looking to get back into game art, after working in architectural viz and level design. This seems a great place to start.
