First post in Polycount. I'm about to go into my final year in Games Design and need to build on my skills, so what better place to get crits on my work than Polycount
I'm a game dev student but mainly will be focusing on 3D, currently props and environments and hopefully eventually characters as well. Glad to be part of the community
Greetings to all. Been meaning to join for a while. Great group of talented people here. I'm a traditional artist trying to make the crossover to the digital world.
Hello! I am new to Polycount and actually heard about it through an old friend who recently got done with game design at her school. I didn't really check out the site much but recently saw the competition with Dota 2 and became very amazed at the skill that the contestants offered.
I am very new to this, but am hoping to become very good at it as it is something I want to do for a career. Currently I am taking a class and am just learning, so I probably will not be posting much for a while and instead be looking into others work and seeing what I can learn. I currently own only the student version and am not really sure what it limits me to in terms of posting and such. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
After I've learned a bit more, I will be posting things and hope to get helpful feedback to get better at the program and my skill!
Hello, I just got as serious as to start posting on this board (and more importantly looking for feedback). I actually found out that I have been registered already (or maybe it'đ just som other lamb who uses the same password), not sure if I ever posted anything though.
Hey! Glad to participate in the polycount community. I am currently taking a 1 year 'overall' Video Games course in Quebec (yup! We use french and english!) and will graduate at the end of summer 2013. I'm very excited about getting feedback on my work and I plan on answering questions as well as helping out on subjects I'm comfortable with.
Let's have a good one.
Hello, my name is Ian Berget. I am an Art New-Media student at American River College in Sacramento, and I look forward to joining the polycount community.
Hi, I'm here to look at peoples' awesome 3D work. I am also part of a game project called Star Wars: BattleCry: http://www.moddb.com/games/star-wars-battlecry and I'm looking for any skilled 3D modellers/environmental artists who want to join the team.
Hello to this wonderful artist community.
This year I will invest some private money in an old game idea of mine
and for sure here is a place to find talented artists.
I know, that I cant pay the high quality I see here, but hope to find a bit
support at the lower end.
My game concept is in the line of the movie 'Enemy Mine' with a twisted extension and questions about racial discrimination.
Very well then, I shall obey the signup-automaton and yell some magic words into this thread! SHAZAM!!!!~
Besides that, I'm a hobbyist with 3D while earning my money with 2D artwork elsewhere, so we'll see if I can get over my lazy self and get something done this year. So many talented people here! It seems like that despite the size of the community, the forums are nicely structured and uncluttered, which is a very good thing.
greetings polycounters. I'm currently student status, working towards a career in the game industry. Look forward to sharing my work and giving/receiving feedback.
Hello everyone... didn't even know this place existed until a fellow graphic designer told me about it. i have been a 3ds Studio ( 3dmax) user since back in the day when single core 1 ghz computers where cool. hope to enjoy the forum...
Hello! I am making my first post here. Those rules are actually really nice. I look forward to joining and contributing what I can to the community here.
Hey everybody! I'm an aspiring 3D Artist (Modelling, Rigging, Animating, however much I can learn, I'd like to learn it if possible) studying at Becker College in Massachusetts. I'm only a second semester Freshman, but I've done some work with Pixel Art and made a couple of 3D models (nothing more than some doodle-type stuff) in Sculptris. I'm hoping to learn and work with more complex programs sometime within the next year or two, and I figure this will be a nice place to seek constructive criticism and feedback and all that good stuff... So yeah, hello! Looking forward to spending more time here
Hey! I'm Luke, an undergraduate in Computer Science that likes to lurk around places like this in hopes of learning how to push pixels around. I'm pretty terrible at it so I don't expect I'll be talking much - just listening.

I know nothing of modelling and I look for a good place to start.
