Quick question, how long does it normally take to actually get into the site officially? I ask because I've been waiting about 3-4 days with no change. :poly142:
Hey folks. Just discovered Polycount. Im a Max/Vray/Mudbox user. Id like to think my skills are approaching an Intermediate level. Would love to hear from other users who use these tools. Always helps to network! :poly121:
The names James and I've got to school for game development, graduated, and worked at THQ Inc. - That is, until it capsized
Any who, I've been lazy up until late and need to get back into the swing of things. Hopefully I can get my answers from here to better myself, but more-so I'd like to contribute and even show someone a thing or two, myself
3D has always been a bit of a hobby for me however, now I'm looking to push my skills to the next level. Polycount seems like the best fit in terms of community and creativity for me (seriously, there are some amazing threads on here), so I figured joining would be the next step in learning. Looking forward to know this community!

Hello Polycount. I am a student at Ferris State University working hard at pursuing my life long dream to make video games! I look forward to getting alot of feedback from everybody and hopefully this is a step towards being a better artist.
I'm Darryl Brownstone, aspiring game artist! I have been here on poly count for quite some time already, so I think it is appropriate that I make an official greeting!
Some things about me: Over the past 6 months I have been on a total crash course absorbing as much information about game assets and production. I can't quite say what I am 100% self taught, given that I have learned a great deal from folks like Xoliul and his work from Eat3D, all the talents from 3D-motive and not to mention all of the great work from everyone at polycount!
To add, am focusing mainly on environment art and props.
Hello all, I tried this a month ago but I think something went wrong, hopefully this time I'll get accepted into the family.
Interesting forum, I hope to be a regular and looking at some of the work I was really impressed!

Over the past six months or so, I have been on a total crash course. I've been absorbing as much information as I possibly can including all the things involved with game art and production. I can not say I am completely 100% self taught, given that I have learned a great deal from folks like Xoliul and his work on Eat3D, the talent from 3D Motive and not to mention, all of the wonderful work from all of you polycounters!
I look forward to participating and learning from everyone here, and of course... becoming activated :-P
So to introduce myself -and being able to get started here- ,this is my first post. I'm Iryon, from the Netherlands, and I'm an aspiring 2D and 3D artist. Hope to get a rocket start here on polycount!
