Signed up here because I'm currently studying Animation in school. I felt I had been procrastinating a bit to much so now I'm somewhat playing catch up and doing some extra work during my breaks.
It'll be great to have a place to discuss modeling and such outside of class!
Hi guys, just join...
My name is Philip Herman. I've been working in the games industry as a 3D character modeler for seven years, and my primary areas of work are modeling and texturing.
Hi Hello Hola!
I'm a game programmer, i've made game for webos and android, now getting my hand on windows phone 7 hope to learn and have friends to collaborate on (a) game project(s)
I figured it was time to sign up considering I check out the forums, mostly for jobs, pretty much every day. This is one of the few forums I am actually a part of and love the community Polycount has brought together. Everyone seems helpful and decided this would be the best place to get help to push my work as a virgin environment artist further. Far enough to hopefully get my foot in the door and land that dream job I have always wanted.
Looking forward to my time here amongst all the awesomeness that is video game art.
Good day. I'm a fresh Max user but I absolutely love it. Whenever I need a solution to a modelling problem, or simply going on the hunt for new ideas, I would often check these forums. A very helpful community.
I'm an Artist who has worked in the games industry for 12 years, and due to GFC issues here in the land of Oz I've had to branch out and work in interactive media for an Engineering firm. I still get to use all that games experience using engines like Unity and UDK... but its just a slightly different end product.
I'm always looking to learn new process when it comes to 3D art - and I'm keen to improve my skills and the time it takes to produce a good commercial product - as this is usually the one thing that will make a project stressful or fun.
Hi everyone, I've studied animation at school, but have also discovered a love for modeling. I friend recommended me this place to learn more about modeling. I also found a lot of the threads helpful because I am looking to improve as a texture artist as well!
Hello Kelly here. Used to come here way back in the days of Old school, Hell I think Ultima in 94? Kinda forgot you guy were here. This place opened my eyes to mod gamming I had no Idea that there was such a thing and than hundreds and thousands did this. It blew my mind. I haven't played games for some time now, because I am an addict and must stop so that I have time for art and design, but I am back cause I have new Ideas and questions about this new open source, Unity game engine. Good to be back It looks like you have come a long way.
I'm a visual effects & animation student that got hired as an artist at a videogame company. I'm learning on the job, and this site is a great resource. I know a few longtime members, and I hope to become one as well.
Hello polycount. Been a visitor since back in the day when Half-Life and Unreal were the top two modded game topics around here ('98 or '99?) and finally after all these years decided to register as I am finally getting to use my skills (or current lack there-of due to being rusty beyond all belief) to earn a living, or at least I hope to heh.
Hi all, I am a recent graduate looking to have a great place to connect and get feedback! I like rigging and would love to improve my modelling and animation skills.
Afternoon all!, current Maya based modeller from Scotland here, started using Unity a little while back, looking to improve those skills through feedback on here
Joined this forum because for months now it has been my main inspiration in learning to model while improving my drawing skills. Seen some amazing stuff on here!
I was told to confirm here. I'd give you a bit of background.
My name is Lloyd, currently I am a student at university, going into the second year of a games art course and I am looking to expand my knowledge by absorbing information from the community and also hopefully helping others along the way (that may be doubtful until my later years).
Hello people, my name's Anderson. I'm just another brazilian guy addicted to Zbrush and 3d modeling in general. I began my studies in the area about september last year and, being self taught, I'm pretty unsure about my progress. So I'm counting with your experience and critics to help me evolve as an artist and I'm ready to help anybody improve if I can too!
p.s.Sorry for any mistake I'll try to improve my english too!
