I have recently enrolled for a diploma in digital and interactive games. So I will be on here a lot sucking your brains more than a bad zombie movie. I'm male 28, love long walks along the beach holding hands and puppies.
I am new to the world of all things creative and computer software related, so I look forward to talking to as many of you as possible as much as possible during my time with Polycount.
My name's Terry, and I've been into cg for quite a while, actually working on a short animation project. But there's still a lot to learn. I've recently decided to start a personal project of creating low poly characters and assets for my portfolio and thus I've found this great forum; And since I've been looking around here for references, I figured I'll just join in the party so I could also comment and get comments and critiques about my work.
I've always been interested in 3D art. I've been using Valve's Hammer Editor for the longest time...Half-Life is what got me interested in Level Design, and from there I just became interested in creating the objects and characters for such things.
I didn't really take off until Half-Life 2 came out, but I only stuck to Level Design (and I would like to think I'm really good at it). However, I want to make a career out of 3D art and level design, so I want to expand on (what very little) 3D skills I have.
Polycount never ceases to amaze me with the stuff that comes out of here, so I figured this would be a great place to start to get help and expand my modeling skills.
I'm mostly a graphic/web designer who has recently become more serious about gaining more game art skills. I've mostly been playing around with Blender, Unity, Photoshop, and recently, Sculptris (because Zbrush looks super rad and all, but I can't justify the cost yet. Yet.) I have grand ideas for game projects that involve neither zombies nor shooting things with high-powered rifles. OK, back to sculpting...
Hi there! I'm (soon-to-be) CEO of Impetus softworks! Or...Something like that.
Anyway, I'm here to look for people to work on things with me as well as to pick some prowess up myself. I hope to meet many new people with varying backgrounds and skill levels!
Hey everyone! I'm Whiskey, to tell you a little about myself; I am a [pseudo] recent art graduate who fell in love with 3D art and games a long time ago. I'm currently located in the Boston area, though I'm quickly turning my eyes towards out West as there seems to be more opportunities for breaking into the video game industry there than here (plus the cost of living is significantly less). Anyways, I digress, I'm still very much a newbie and hoping to create artwork and learn from all the amazing talent here! See you guys out in the forums!
Hello hello! I'm Cy and I'm a 17 year old girl whose hoping to major in video game design. I've been messing in 3D programs since I was a kid, inspired by the extra features on the dvd of pixar movies. I'm an artist in many mediums. I work traditionally and digitally when it comes to drawing and painting, and I've had experience in sculpting with clay and carving sculptures out of foam.
Anyways, I'm looking to improve my 3D skills!

Hello there, all you folks and any interstellar species who may be looking in. I think I have already messed up my account by quick-replying to the email. NOT A GOOD OMEN. Be on the lookout for large birds carrying firewood and blimps with clown faces on them. THEY WILL BE THE NEXT OMENS TO FORM THE SIGNS OF DOOM.
I can only hope to bring more of my lopsided brain to the currently-innocent people of Polycount. Until then, END TRANSMISSION.
Hey Adam and the rest of the Polycount community! Posting here on behalf of a few 3D modelers on our team. We wish to share our current indie game project with you all. Looking forward to contributing and hearing your thoughts.
New user here! I done some basic modelling in 3ds max before for SA:MP mods, but now I'm looking to start making items for DotA 2 because I love that game! Hopefully I can find some tips and tricks, as well as feedback on my items that I will make soon!
I am looking forward to possibly become a 3D game artist in the industry.. I love creating environments! I have been around polycount for several years now and diecided to show some of my work in order to get some critique and feedback.
