Hello, good intro writeup here. I joined because it seems the rule "Dont be a dick" seems to really apply here. Lots of great work and great criticism on the many many threads I've read.
I am extremely new to all this and can't wait to learn more. I am developing my own solo project in UDK just as a proof of concept to learn all the ins and outs, dos and do nots.
Hi everyone, I am newly-graduate character and mechanical designer who is always striving to learn more about the fast-growing industry, mind-blowing programs, and talented individuals!
I look forward to the exciting horizon full of evolving technologies and breath-taking art ahead of us!
Hopefully, Polycount members can help me out with an issue I'm having with a model I'm trying to unwrap. Look forward to future posts on Polycount. Hello, all and KCCO
Hey there, first time poster and I am so thankful that this community exists. The amount of resources here are just incredible. Hopefully someday I will be able to contribute as well.
My story is pretty simple. Made my way though highschool/college, dabbling in artwork along the way, but more focused on becoming a film actor. I moved to Los Angeles to pursue my dream, but after about 2 years finally decided it was not for me.
Then a new dream began to grow. Largely inspired by my love of gaming, I became fixated on the idea of creating elaborate and beautiful environments from nothing. I was always taught to go after the career you'll love, and I really feel that this is the right fit for me.
Right now, I am working on 2D Concept Environments, but I would like to eventually branch out into 3D Environment Art, with skills in Animation. For software, I am beginning with SketchBook Pro and I bought a Bamboo Stylus. Hopefully headed in the right direction.
Hello! My name is Chris!
I'm nearing the end of my college career for Game Design and am hoping to break into the industry as a character artist. With that goal in mind I've begun learning ZBrush early and hope to learn a lot from this site!
