Late, but you do realize how ridiculously large the carryhandle and all that jazz is compared to the grip, right?
Yeah it is a bit off scale after looking, noone seemed to bring it up when I showed them. Perhaps an earlier WIP posting may have helped :poly127: Surely it isn't that big of a problem however, someone with small hands can use it
E: Actually I realised the pic I was using had some weird perspective, like really weird, does this look slightly better? (Just a quick scale job, newer is on the top)
I think it's the mixture of AR-15 and P90 grip that's messing with us, I never really thought about scale while putting it all together and got a bit worried, didn't want to bake anything again :poly122:

Don't forget the entire FA-MAS stock and magazine. Actually very, VERY accurately modelled. Faithful down to each individual screw, in fact. Don't take this the wrong way, but why not model a FA-MAS instead...? I love that rifle. And this mix between a perfectly good but bulky medium-range asasult rifle and a sleek close-quarters SMG confuzzles my head.
Oh, wait, there are a few things that stick out to me besides that. First, why is the sling wrapped around the stock and barrel when you have the loops it's supposed to go through modelled? At least the FA-MAS bit does, I have no clue where you're supposed to attach a sling to the P90. And second, where'd the magazine release go?

The magazine release is on the right side like on (early?) FAMAS models. I also didn't model the FAMAS because I don't like the rifle, only the buttstock The sling, I can't explain, I forgot about the sling loop (it was 4am), and I think the final outcome looks pretty snazzy, I have some ideas for the textures and I really don't want to return to the model :poly122:

Oh, huh. That's odd, I've never seen that. How do you use that thing? I guess you're meant to reload with your right hand, then, not with the left like I always did with my airsoft replica... But still, that's a bit wonky considering how both the P90 and FA-MAS are ambidextrous. You've even got the removable cheek rest there. But oh well, I'm just nitpicking, the model's looking sexy.
here an old piece i finally try to finish. Its still wip. some details are missing... excuse the bad renderquality. my machine had problems and i wanted a fucking render so... lower quali. have worked on that over the night x_x im dead now but i have to go to school now. Important visitor from Crytek
.... i'm.. dying... coffee...
Looks good to me, Sampson. Wish I could do cliffs/rocks like you do, when I try they end up looking like simple lumps of color, especially if I try to paint it in Photoshop with a Wacom.

i cheated tbh.. i painted over an image of cliffs and just sampled the colour every now and then... hehe
I'm working on a scene based off some concept art from Uncharted.
On the left is a high rez render of some machinery in the scene, it's nothing too fancy. I've been trying to get a bit more technical with my hard surface modelling and I feel like I'm getting alot further with these sorts of shapes.
On the right is a shot of the blocked out scene so far.

I suppose you should mention that you used arsh's basemesh for that amrite?
It's basically a concept of a few things spliced together and then some details added by me.
He is a bit smoother in v´s picture though.

Mad props to Bitmap for the awesome collab.
Gotta say that this thing rocks. Oh yeah, that's a quick sculpt of a paperclay model of Wolverine made by the awesome Shiflett Bro's.

Set the radius, click and enjoy!
Enable the multi-Pass Effect and set the total passes (the higher the number the better the result of the blur).
hehe maybe thank you guys. Will take a look on it
Saloon WIP for Warm Gun. The roof was done by another member of the team, but I took the piece over. Got a long way to go yet
Guess I could just use an alpha mask, but where's the fun in that!
