- Same shit different day from me! been making a lot of minor adjustments to the silouette and adding in various details. Its nearlly at the point where i can just push it to finished now... i hope
Edit - Done and saved under the Adobe RGB 1998 profile, and for some reason is REALLY washed out, weird?
Great job Josh singh! He really looks alive and a little crazy ha. You should do a zscript or some kind of tutorial or walkthrough on your next zbrush model.
than i put it on a plane and started cutting where i saw hard edges on the texture and than pulled all highlight verts out. making all the variants was a matter of choosing which rocks to delete out of the original model and than maybe applying a lattice or bend deformer for a slightly different shape
really cool warby, only crit is it the texture doesnt really read like rock. The shading and texture are great, but the colors make it look more like cheese mountain than a rocky mountain. Either way looks really tight.
A little more work on my pillar in between work on my painting. The portion shown is a light, so that's why I added an orange material to it to kinda show it's purpose.
Warby - top stuff there. What's the plan?
Quick little diddy at lunch today to frame the shot with some leaves. As well, I began to alter the tree & its surroundings so that tonight / tomorrow I can bring it to the focal point of the picture.
@mr. Brome - I really like the big leaf Ivy vines, nice call.
I wonder what would look like if more of the tree leaf brown was found in background details on the righthand side. would the green wash be more effective if broken up by more of that color in the background? im just guessing but maybe eye goes from brown wood bridge to tree leaf and finally into the background following that color?
Looks great though, you are definitely one of my top fav enviro artists!
-your work has a great style.
Medestruit - I think you really need to push the saturation in your colours, the likeness and whatnot is there but youve lost a lot of the vibrant colours. I back Artsy's opinion to some extent in that I think you should push realism and piss about with colours as opposed to a direct copy.
So in places like the nose / eyes why not push the colours some more, more orange / turquoise and the subtle pinky cheeks - stuff like that is where you can have some fun and breath life into a picture! - why im talking like i know something... i dont know :E
I've had this model sitting on my plate for way to long now. Been super busy but its almost done. Still not feeling the hair at all. Its about 4800tris.

I'm working on a Zangief bust for the SF4 Mini Competition. I posted my WIP on GA but the site is incredibly laggy right now and my first post needed admin approval which caused my reply to end up on a previous page in the thread.

Me and a buddy played that at school last year, good times.
Nice!
But that article is stupid as they have nothing to do with the unreal engine.
Kotaku posting a stupid article?
The world is going to end today, i can already see the floodwaters rising.
