Yeah its from the beta for Z4 its just a Tile texture. Clearly an acurrate one would be neededm but what evs lol, took 20 minutes with dyna mesh. When is your ass getting over here?
It's actually a pattern I see in your work since the begining, at a glance It's HOLY SHIT... But if I stop and look really carefully I see some very small things that barely stand out and leads me to believe you were a bit sloppy, but I can tell it's for the sake of speed. Cos in the end of the day, it doesn't really matter.
I envy you in a way, I'm way too of a perfectionist and sometimes I spend way too much time on little things that will never be seen, making me a really slow artist. You are the other way around, you get shit done!
Yeah I here ya, for me my personal work is based around studies and goals. If I focus on texturing I do just that. As for the texture of the asset that keeps getting brought up, it was a speed sculpt nothing more. But I do agree with you. I do go way to fast. I'll figure it out one day. I'm much more anal in my professional work because I get paid for it and really its for someone else Thanks again for the feedback. I wouldn't say my work is impressive, I'm just playin and learning lol Thanks again
Dave, got ya. I figured it was something. Haven't messed with dynamesh yet. As for my ass getting over there. That is well... Only time will tell where I'll end up in the future. For now I'm trying to stay put for a bit and just work on my own skills and folio as it is in VERY much need of a total overhaul.
Just got done catching up on all 9 pages of this thread. This is one of those threads that both makes me feel like shit as an artist and inspires me. Awesome work dude.
I've been following your work for a while now - really inspiring, thank you. Congrats on getting your dream gig btw.
You mentioned some time ago that you have a high-speed work flow, just wondering if you could give any tips? I tend to over-think things waaaay too much (particularly about which methods are best to use) and end up taking ages to complete anything, so any tips you have would be greatly appreciated.
SimonT on 11-20-2011 02:42 AM Hey dude just to follow up with you it was a projection so dipl with geo, I've actually stoped doing it this way because of just that and with the mesh insert brush you dont have to worry about the projection streaks
Quick question. I've noticed you have a variety of stuff from hard surface to organic, are you using a sculpting program to do that hard surface or are you using 3ds max or maya to do those?
Mainly max and zbush soft it it gets hair lol hey guys here is a new piece inspired by the uber talented josh jay hope all is well hit this over last week here and there
I know you herd it a lot but you are truly inspiring.
I usually get frustrated to easily and lose inspiration way to fast.It really keeps me from advancing my skills as an artist.
but after seeing this post i'm definitely going to work on that.
Great job on all your work dude and i cant wait to see more!
Thanks dudes, its a bmw engine its one of those cars that make you decide if you wanna be able to pay rent or pay for the car lol. Thanks for the kind words. Hears to learning.

The render looks very dark, so I can't really see if there is something wrong with you model.
Do you have any work in progress shots for this? I'd love to see how you started building it.
