The sad thing is, this is at least the third time he's tried to fund this project. He's run two Kickstarter campaigns and one on Fundfeed. The previous Kickstarter had a video with it featuring some rather stolen looking concept art. Looks to have been removed now though.

actually i played neocron for quite some time and it was fun as hell
problem was, they nerfed the pvp loot system so that everyone with a negative soullight was f*cked
also hacking was so easy that there were tons of cheaters which kills a game where you can loot your enemy after you kill him
there were some other things that were annoying but this two i listed killed the fun for me
well, i went into frog fractions expecting only what I got after a minute of gameplay...defying my expectations is what personally puts it high on my lists of games this year, but I can't say anyone who "expects to be surprised" will have the same sense of delight, you know?
yeah, a lot of it was going into it with little to no expectations. I was pleasantly surprised so like joe, it really stood out to me and honestly was one of the more enjoyable things I've played in 2012.
I'd love to see some of those things come to pass in my lifetime, but a lot of it will either never happen or wont happen for hundreds of years. And some of it imo should never happen (copying a human mind/personality into an artificial brain).
Being able to have your actual brain transplanted into an artificial body would be an amazing experience, but at the same time the ramifications of that are incredibly frightening.
I'd love to see some of those things come to pass in my lifetime, but a lot of it will either never happen or wont happen for hundreds of years. And some of it imo should never happen (copying a human mind/personality into an artificial brain).
