This is the sweet spot for your low-poly models. Post 'em if you've got 'em!Low-poly hasn't really been a requirement in the games industry for a long while now. This thread is for low-poly art style appreciation, so please take note of these rough guidelines:
- Keep models under 1,000 triangles.
- Scenes are fine, if all models are low poly.
Some dedicated low-poly modelling tools now exist that make this art style a lot easier to produce;

in the attributes for any file texture; File Attributes->Filter Type->Off(from drop menu)
I dunno if this is against any rules you guys have here. I just wanted to make an oldschool NES and thought I would post it up here.
I took a break from the long grind of schoolwork to bump this out.
Don't think it breaks any rules, it looks good!
a thing I made to try to fix my workflow and speed.. a bit big resolution on the texture map but what the heck... less than two days in total..
yhea the plants tris is including in the total 500tris, and it was there all the tris where lost,, I could compress much much more but all this was ment to be a fast in and fast out project :P
You 'll try vertex color after ?
keep up
fun little project outside of work.. i have the weapons made too.. gonna texture them over the weekend... anybody have a link to the thread where it is explained how tom tallian rendered out his TF2 figures w/o whatever the buffer is that makes your textures blended? i wanted to turn it off cause the blending looks ugly in my opinion and i couldnt find the thread.. i know how to do it for your viewport, but not the renderer..
That's pretty cool, I like it. Neat chibi sort of style.
THP - so sexy
Turtle Man!
432 tris
Yeah, I didn't really optimize my UV space very well
^This. If only there was a shooter on the PSP that looked that good. Amazing work for a 128*!
Just made this (NOT MY DESIGN!):
Very nice work faking reflections in those legs It's a fun concept, not often you see amputated limbs in a non-ghoulish character. Fun piece
You gona post the design to give due credit?
Art-Machine: Thanks man, I didn't put the design on the sheet because I didn't want people to think I painted it or something :P It's part of the ArtPG activity:

I just sent him an e-mail to make sure if he's cool with it, but the activity is a community thing where you can re-interpret other people's ideas, so this was my take on that. (Should've put that in my first post :X ) Hopefully he likes it
Yap, really great fake of reflection!
Little Barrel
Map 128*128
idk
P.S: I love that Bulbasaur, ericdigital.
Definitely no.
Ocarian, awesome shading, feels really "there".
I like it! This is how a barrel should be done!
Looking at the model, it could easily be brought down to around 500
Godd luck, will be watching you
as for your grid low poly stuff- it would perfectly fit in this engine (as3 flash, renders n-gons instead of tris and gives extra boost for large worlds)
which has grown a lot in the last month`s although I am not yet allowed to show pics or demos of it.
Some details on your models could be, from my experience, better faked using image transparent planes to save poly faces but all in all I think that your models would work quite well in a flash engine.
renderhjs: As always, love your stuff
Here's an update on my model, after a paint-over by Arne/Prometheus/Niklas(!)
MGS Ninja? I was thinking of doing a PSP spec version myself...
Ok... 1 question... How do you get a wireframe pic in 3ds Max 9?
EDIT: Fixed it myself
