This is the sweet spot for your low-poly models. Post 'em if you've got 'em!Low-poly hasn't really been a requirement in the games industry for a long while now. This thread is for low-poly art style appreciation, so please take note of these rough guidelines:
- Keep models under 1,000 triangles.
- Scenes are fine, if all models are low poly.
Some dedicated low-poly modelling tools now exist that make this art style a lot easier to produce;

not sure, but from this angle, I feel the brown comanche could benefit from a little bit more contrast...

you may get better feedback in the "so what are you working on" thread.
As his little brother was above, I thought of posting the Stupimon N2 : Parrozard !!
EDIT: Why do I feel like I always kick things over to the next page?
This prop is for my university final major project.
it clocks in at 202 polys and has a 256x256 texture.
cheers
As for other lighting information it will be going into a game engine so i dont think il need it much, esp as i plan to add normal and specular maps later on.
cheers for your feedback though.
I'm beginner in 3D, but below is one fat skier I recently made.
btw. Does anyone know any good site where I could find texturing tutorials for beginners?
I really regret unwrapping it the way I did. This is probably the first time I've completely skinned a model I've made, so hopefully I'll do a better job of it next time.
Will post final when it's done.

old stuff but still cool :]
That said, I like him. Kinda wish his shoulders were bigger and his hips were a little smaller (think looney toons bulldog taken down a few notches) but over all his proportions are feeling playful. And I like that.
This is James. I made him for the 11th mini challenge
398 tris and 128x128
one problem i've been having with maya for a long time now: my scale, move and rotate tool are way too big so i can't scale in one direction or rotate normally. any idea how to make them normal sized again?

He has 400 tris and 128x128 texture (diffuse + alpha)
hope you like
My contribution - self portrait. Ill give the flats once im done with the texture.
And for reference, I dug up the worst picture ever taken of me. I call this the "kid watching the moon landing" shot.
Haha adam that has got to be the strangest pictures of you imaginable. Actually, I have stranger now that I think about it.
I'd definitely play with the jeans some more around the kneecap area and bum, but I just love the poly usage on that mesh!
MisterGold, that's pretty sweet, you did a good job!
Glad you like my work here is another character form the series
MisterGoid - I like your character a lot, keep it up
MisterGoid: Great model very cool the tris usage. GL for the rest of the texture, its coming very well too.
Cheers!
