This is the sweet spot for your low-poly models. Post 'em if you've got 'em!Low-poly hasn't really been a requirement in the games industry for a long while now. This thread is for low-poly art style appreciation, so please take note of these rough guidelines:
- Keep models under 1,000 triangles.
- Scenes are fine, if all models are low poly.
Some dedicated low-poly modelling tools now exist that make this art style a lot easier to produce;

that game is RIDICULOUSLY fun!
I can't stop playing it!
Are you going to disable a visible mouse? It would be so much easier to play without a mouse cursor distracting me
I think I could make pok
love the look of this little guy!
do you have it animated?
Not yet nellyb.. I wanted to make this a little exercise on rigging/animation before I jump into that class again.
I cannot say this enough.
Blackmetal: Wow that's an awesome looking gun with super cool stylized shapes.
Here's another thing I made for class. Put it on sketchfab this time.
136 tris.

Sonjool: the minor changes you made are rad, looks good!
So like, for Lighting and Texture.
This is a van I just finished up. It was inspired by some car models I saw in this thread.

Ha you working on it too or just heard from it?
adorable
This is actually my first proper 3D model
Quite surprised how well it went. I haven't used blender for about a year.
I am looking at some tutorials to texture it at the moment..
840 tris
(Suggestions are appreciated)
The head was modeled by Sweetangel0467
Bloom!
Haha neil let's have Bloom all over the place ^^ I'm not sure if this falls under their low poly budget though.. *shrug*
For sure! and yea its a little over but still super low poly for a giant robot.
ESPECIALLY the hands !!
Edit: Optimized the mesh and added a new texture.
dont mind the lightmapping/baking to the left.
244 tris
256x256 Diffuse, Specular, Normal
Modeled in 3ds max, textures photoshop cs5 and nDo2.
Unity, made the object rotate and screen capped it. Made it loop nicely in Photoshop afterwards!
I'm looking for feedback on my first character model. This is the main character from my comic, Selene, and I thought her proportions and outfit would be a good, simple enough project.
Working through the texture right now.
Did this as an exercise to stretch my low poly muscles.
Scarecrow- 740 tris
Truck- 160 tris
Corn stalk- 44 tris
I'm not done with the truck's texture, but you get the idea.
This was made as style practice/portfolio thing, as it isn't too useful as a game asset without some modification (mostly the hair, since it is 4,816 tris alone...)
Here's the wires. The topology is pretty bad for anything other than a half-decent still.

And here's the quick random sketch I did at my desk that inspired it. Didn't quite hit the mark maybe, but I prefer how the model turned out.

hi guys its me again. Ive tried to make a low poly sword for a practice of texturing. :P any good tips?
I don't know why you used so many poly's on the form inside the blade.. if it really has a very prominent silhouette from the side it might be good to show that in your preview too ^^
PS: It's a bit more red...
This is probably as close as I am going to get with my current UV-set.
Nice But its spinning too fast to see it good.
My first post here, hope it's in the correct place!
Tri's : 1172
Quads : 600
Diffuse / Spec / Gloss / Normal : 2048 x 2048
This is my first true effort to model and texture a real-time game prop.
Programs used : 3ds 2012, Photoshop CS + Nvidia filter plugin and of course, Marmoset 2!
Any comments welcomed!
Cheers, Alex
