This is the sweet spot for your low-poly models. Post 'em if you've got 'em!Low-poly hasn't really been a requirement in the games industry for a long while now. This thread is for low-poly art style appreciation, so please take note of these rough guidelines:
- Keep models under 1,000 triangles.
- Scenes are fine, if all models are low poly.
Some dedicated low-poly modelling tools now exist that make this art style a lot easier to produce;

Would love some critique!
Sorry no super cool poses, didn't have time to rig this one.
Thanks! I'm glad you like it.
Still getting use to 3d Coat and such. Wish I could have had time to really go crazy in PS on it, but I only had three days to do this texture. Hopefully I can touch it again in a few weeks when school is done.
Textures were 32x32, 256 colors. :poly124:
Entire scene uses a single texture 512x512.
Currently only around 50% of the texture is used up at this stage though.
For now things such as the bar are a little too similar to the one in FF3 itself so I'm going to scratch that up a little and see if perhaps I can use some of the colour from the sides/top of the bookcase once I've finished those areas.
It needs quite a few props, table,chair,drawers,flowers,barrel,fireplace/furnace, rug/mat and few other little bits too.
The idea is to be able to use the assets from this to create any of the following areas: House, Inn, Store, Blacksmiths, Storage Room, and with another texture set for walls and floor it could be used for various other areas too, or at least this is the aim.
All and any crits or advice welcome.:)

yeah Ged. this wasn't exactly a practice in likeness but I agree I probably could have pushed it a bit more. thanks for the input
Thanks guys! I am enjoying the animations the most atm!
I am playing around with lighting to try and get a better atmosphere, they dont cast shadows its purely light so my textures should still make sense!
Just WOW. Awesome.
+1
also final tri count?
Well thank you, it was rendered in marmoset toolbag.
if you don't then, wow.
this is some serious awesome texturing and modelling!
just need to learn texturing (yay)
86 tris for the table
44 tris per bottle (88 for both)

also, my presentation skills for 3DS Max suck.
Don't worry you'll get the hang of it, do a few searches here and on google and you should get all the help you need.
