This is the sweet spot for your low-poly models. Post 'em if you've got 'em!Low-poly hasn't really been a requirement in the games industry for a long while now. This thread is for low-poly art style appreciation, so please take note of these rough guidelines:
- Keep models under 1,000 triangles.
- Scenes are fine, if all models are low poly.
Some dedicated low-poly modelling tools now exist that make this art style a lot easier to produce;

I like It.
Head Map runs a alpha. You can make him blink and singe his eyebrows, hehe.
Also hands are evil to paint.
vans usually have some kind of bevel or something on the top

Thought I'd start off with posting a low poly of myself I made just now.
About the lowpolyness and highpoly... well I find extremelly useful lowpoly. why? If I try to sculpt A complicated character I need to define with zillions of polygons. Even for a nose and a mouth well defined you need gazillion polygons.
With lowpoly you get the exact minimal flow needed and form. That's very important because once finished you can finish that lowpoly model or sculpt a higher version of it.
IM still able to manage better work if I start with lowpoly than with sculpting with all respect to those who can work it out in an sculpting app.
Cheers.
This is an old version of april from TNMT. About 1300 polys I am redoing it completely but for the sake of showing
X-Post BAybyyyyyy:
Still going with this. Almost done with the texture.....ALMOST!. Just playing around with some ideas. Gotta finish it off soon coz I am getting over it.
The only thing that throws me off a bit is the lettering. The way the H and the E touch makes me read it as "The Misery Macaine". A slight bit of spacing could fix that.
Here's a few props I made for a larger scene: http://arcallejas.com/3d/undead-football-stadium/
A kitchen ,made a time ago ,my little contribution

Let me know if it is too too too dark.
Thanks everyone
Now for something new...... unless I need to brighten up this thing first......... then that thing I said.
Thanks for the comments and crits everyone.
Prop I made for a USC Student game
Looking cool! Whats the texture size? You could have mirrored most of it by the looks of it! Probably Halved your texture res!
Thanks! The texture size is 1024x1024 on the shot but it looks more or less the same with lower res textures.
Yea and that's a great tip that would have made the textures even smaller haha.
Thanks! But it wasn't my concept. It was a concept by Markus Luk and I feel stupid for not mentioning that x_x. Will go back and make note of it.
Just a little something
awesome, you should really see about converting it over for us at the q1 community.
@Duncan also looks great man ! =D
XPost,
