Dang pior, love the colors. The ribbed brown sleeves are creamy delicious as well!
Titan, that yoda painting is great. Did you color pick from your reference, or eyeball it?
Gottfaust. While the subject matter is a bit chliche, I like the rendering style of it. I think it could use some more confident lines, with good changes in edge width.
poop: I just eyeballed it on that yoda...the way it appears is actual size...I painted very quickly and small...actually just got a new monitor, so I'm getting better color results on my art now, I had an ancient monitor that was fading and color shifting, so glad to finally be rid of it....
Wow, those are cool, NoSeRider! The perspective on the guy looks a little off, though - the lines above his waist should converge more, and not be so parallel...

some fun sketches done at work over this weekend!

wow dude, you guys have life drawing there on the weekends? >.< that's so awesome
here are some from me. these are all within a 2 week time period. working on rendering skills. studying light, etc. photo refs, trips to the zoo, mY MiNd
pretty good stuff, neal. but i'm going to punch you in the teeth if you draw on lined paper again! always bring a sketchbook with you. if you're going to class under the auspices of taking notes and end up doodling these in your 'notebook', then you are just not being honest with yourself. realize that you're probably going to draw more than take notes, so bring the sketchbook to class, with a few looseleaf lined sheets on the off chance you might actually write down something
Copied and pasted from my most recent update on my ConceptArt.org sketchbook thread. I figure not everyone goes over there, so I'll spread it around... did a bunch of scanning tonight...
Here are some assorted scraps I've managed to accumulate over the last month or thereabouts.
Pencil scribbles (the shapes are from Bridgman's Constructive Anatomy) and a fat aristocratic bloke, really fast pen doodle.
Some Sergeant-at-Arms or something. Maybe from the same period/setting as the bloke above. Pen and marker, 5 minutes.
Copied from Bridgman again. I should actually do some studies and then try drawing without reference, from memory, just so i learn the muscle shapes and placements. But my memory sucks!
Bunch of scribbles from my sketchbook, I was into crumpled top hats that day, I think. Assorted pen and coloured pencil.
An unfinished pseudo-futuristic motorbike design, possibly a police bike. Was gonna be a template for a high-poly 3d model which I never really very far with. :dur:
Demon Prince scribble idea for Strych9ine's recent massive Thunderdome. :^^;:
Wobbly pencil drawings I did on the train home a week or so ago... no ref.
Couple of pencil sketches of some classical marble busts I saw in Italy... I need to work on my rendering. All messy!
Token gypsy-ish sort of girl, never really got around to finishing her, quite like the look of her, though
Think that's all I've really managed so far.
Basically I need to work on anatomy, rendering, and actually making drawings not look really stiff and forced. Ah well! Onwards...

I never seem to zoom in while I'm working, I think I should.
PIOR: are you doing these on paper first or is the whole process digital?

So, I think I've got this human anatomy thing pretty much mastered. You guys have it all wrong.
Maybe I will now.
