On a side note, I usually press my sketch book down onto the scanner while scanning and get tingles in my hand. It kinda feels sunburnt now, maybe it's just in my head :P
Cool work shotgun, your drawings are getting more and more surreal. And Im starting to see more of your own personality in them.
Here is my Thunderdome from last nights concept art sketch group. It was done in 3 hours with gouache and colored pencil. The topic was The manliest drawing ever. I lost by the way
heh cheers but it is teh sux0r! I don't really know much facial anatomy and my drawings are always a bit squint even with the ol' horizontal flip trick. Maybe I should start drawing with a grid on. I love gouache, hate acrylic, never really got into oils because I like to drybrush.
Ah, cool... I'm just getting started with gouache myself, seems pretty cool ... oils are still easier for me at the moment though. Acrylics are ok for a quick cop-out painting, but they don't have as nice a "finish" as oils or gouache, in my opinion.
Here's my very first two gouache paintings! From photo ref, about an hour or so on each, I was just learning ... shoulda spent longer mixing more colours but I'm lazy. They're about 2x3 inches each.
Be gentle! They're my first gouache paintings ever!
yeah Mop, cool stuff! Do you use them almost like watercolour? hard to see from this distance. Mine tend to be thicker I think, but I've never tried something so small. Might see how it feels to try painting one a couple inches wide..

I find it doubles quite nicely as an xy-controller with pressure sensitivety and multiple controllers with Miditab.
