I'm in the middle of unwrapping a model and I'm stuck on trying to figure out how to unwrap a particular part of it. What are some good ways to unwrap this shape?
This is how I currently have it unwrapped but I am not happy with it.
Depends how much distortion you can get away with, but adding splits here should give you least distortion with the trade-off of more seams.
You'll end up with a circle and two rectangular UV's (top of the image), and the last uv shell and be a O shaped UV, or unwrapped to be a strip (ideally).
