Gah blergh I've encountered a tech problem My old laptop is lagging like heck opening zbrush, and I cannot load the basemesh... although I get a pretty neat star but won't be able to do any sculpts until I've managed to find a workaround for this. Need to figure this out. That means I'll be a few days behind unfortunately
thanks for having this practice, i always having trouble capturing human facial proportion. So this is a good chance for me to practice. And here's my Day01
here is my day 15 (8 Head). Is me or the base mesh is very close to this head? at least the side ? even so I spent the same time, I got lost in small changes.
@Elithenia I hope your problem can solve soon and You get back to work ! ... anyway you can check the document size of the project, just in case...
@Elithenia sorry to hear about your laptop and I hope you can get back to Zbrushing soon. While being working hard to catch up to only a few sculpt behind the number that the current reference is on for the month, but I seem to have currently be one day behind so far for myself. Here is day 15 sculpt.
Day 16 sculpt the male head. I have also started putting the all the head sculpt that I have done so in the presentation file supplied by @Elithenia in order to later on see the overall result. I will post it at the end of the 30 days.
Finally! Still not entirely solved. (it will only let me use the move brush atm...) but at least I got one head out! Feels good to be back into modelling now, albeit a bit after
Day 19 @Elithenia I'm glad you made it, even isn't working properly. Fortunately at this stage you can go almost just with the move brush "a forced constraint"
@cician08 yes, that is correct. However I'd like to keep the sculpts as similar as possible in the limitations so that I will be able to tell when we've finished how much I've improved It is easier while keeping it similar I notice that you have quite refined hair in your later sculpts. Are you doing that within the 1 hr or outside? As I'd spend very few minutes on actually putting hair, and have as much time in the sculpt, breaking symmetry and trying to really nail what makes them them
thanks @cician08, it's quite noticeable now that I look back at it. it's amazing how easy you can spot errors after taking a break from it. went back to it for another 10 mins and fixed a couple more stuff as well.
@Elithenia at the begging I was doing the hair in extra time. more or less 5-10 min, but recent i notice that I spent less time on the head and I stay in time. Anyway I want to do it in extra time (at least for the long hair) and focus the full hour on the head.
@Prabh Even if you are 'behind' try to spend an hour for each sculpt if you can. As there isn't really any 'behind' since you do it for you, and in the time you can spare for it. It is more important that you try to spend the full hour on the sculpt rather than try to rush ahead. I think you will learn more, and improve more, that way.
@Elithenia Most of the times 90% I work in perspective mode (27/28°) but sometimes I go to check in orthographic view. when I post the side view is always in orthographic.
@Prabh Also I'm behind! I started from the 8th day. I will do the first seven after we finish. In this way I keep to do 1 every day for 30 days. so, don't rush it
@Prabh It is more about building a habit of doing studies, and to push yourself to actually do them fully. That way you will improve the most, and get the most from this exercise

@apllana
I think you missed the jawline/ fat. this one has more fat than a normal person.
Hopefully that means I'll be able to get to sculpt tomorrow again
I'm glad to see the progress of you guys! It is coming along well, and I can see a great improvement in your sculpts!

for posting sculpts
but i will try to match speed
day 15:
because i am way to behind .
are you sculpting with perspective on?

Day 22
ah, I felt like number 21 you posted in the front pic was in ortographic, so I was worried that you had sculpted it that way too
@cician08
Thanks for that wonderful suggestion guys.
I will make sure that i put my 1 hour effort in each face.

Thanks for that kind of words.
I really appreciate what you have said
Thank you
