@9thKnight thanks for your comment, great work on the Hangar, I really like the background, it reminds me the game "Another World" since I finished my entry I did this wip-gif of my saved versions:
A Bioshock Infinite piece from yesterdays stream Thanks
to everyone who joined in. If you want to re-watch the stream, you can
find it here: https://www.twitch.tv/marmosetco/v/72592777
Don't forget, the contest ends on June 19th at 11:59PM CST!
@LenasTeapot and EarthQuake, thanks for the tip on how to move an element. Selection areas doesn't seem to be transparent or is it just me. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks @bcarter I'm glad you liked, your fire watch entry is great, you pay real attention to all the details on the cabin! @9thKnight thanks, great job on your Destiny entry!
So I've been trying to work on this thing for three weeks now believe it or not. I barely managed this since apparently my PC is a toaster and constantly freezes when I use Hexels. It's supposed to be the opening scene from the Shadow of the Colossus Top: Rough Sketch Middle: What I kinda wanted to do Bottom: What I managed to do haha I really like Hexels so I'll continue working on this but ain't no way I'm making the deadline Congrats to all who finished.
Some awesome work here guys! Eleventh hour entry from me for Rise of the Tomb Raider (Started yesterday o_o)! Damn that was fun, unfortunately ran out of time to finish up properly, I wanted to clean up the foliage bits (messy as all hell right now) and the pagoda type thing on the roof is really rather primitive but I'm happy with where it was going. Definitely going to be playing with Hexels some more and might get around to finishing this one up at some point...
There are some gorgeous entries! Here are my submissions. First, one that needs no introduction:
Pac-Man, of course, and the 2nd design of this game as @GhostDetector also made one. Next, another game, one of LucasArts very best point'n'click from the 90s:
Sam & Max hit the Road. I replayed the whole game some months ago, taking screenshots for the love of the graphics. That was quite useful Last, the forthcoming 4th act from Kentucky Route Zero. It should be released this summer. That was quite a wait (more than 2 years), but the game is abolutely unique and beautiful, so, that'll worth the wait. Still a final act to come after this one, though.
All designs are 100% Hexels. No re-assembling, no artificial flavors, no imported pixels, just the real juice straight from the software. I'd like to make wip gifs, as I keep many versions as my drawing goes forward, but I have to check how to do this. My Hexels demo is nearly closed, and I'm a bit hooked now! I hope the results will come in soon, so that I know if I have to buy it or not
Nice to see all the finished work guys, awesome job!
I had a little time free tonight so I've thrown together a quick WIP gif if anyone is interested, I did it all in Hexels to test out the software but threw the finished gif in photoshop at the end to add the black frame and tweak the colour balance a touch. Overall loving the software, there's a few features I feel are missing but I'm sure they'll work their way in eventually, if there's anywhere I can throw suggestions or desired features I'll happily write them up!

Yes the stairs look weird. You probably should use a different grid setting for the stairs. Something with a bigger slope.

Wasn't feeling the Assassins Creed look. Switched to Sunset Overdrive instead.
Mainly blocking out the the scene as of right now.
Going to start adding more detail to the buildings. (Posters, windows, business signs, etc.)
Basically finished, but might tweak some things later.
Here's an update on the Sunset Overdrive scene.
Going to try to add enemies near truck and focus more on clutter.
Selection areas doesn't seem to be transparent or is it just me. Am I doing something wrong?
Another wip update from me.
This is pretty much done. Going to tweak a few things.
@9thKnight thanks, great job on your Destiny entry!
good luck to all!!
