Really nice texture detail here! The detail on the base of the planetary prop is my favorite, great job! UE4's 4.16 preview has native Volumetric Lighting Improvements you may want to check out
@Martoon Thanks! I read the 4.16 update notes and even saw some examples of volumetric lighting. My project can definitely benefit from it and quite frankly I've been waiting for this UE update for two years. Super happy that it has arrived
@Filipe Thank you! I am currently modeling the cabinets in the room in front of the main one with the desk.
Thanks! For the ornaments I just made some custom alphas and used the standard brush to project them on the mesh. Then I did some extra sculpting on top.
Think I've said on every website how much I like this haha but looking great. Although your title days it's a steampunk interior but I'm not seeing any steampunk just dumbledores office which I love though haha
Hahah, thanks You are absolutely right about the steampunk part. I started it with the intention of making a steampunk version of the office but the only thing that is kind of steampunk is the octopus globe and perhaps the orrery clock. I guess I should change the title. Cheers
That's very relative. There are many props with completely different complexity. The mug took me about 2 hours with textuing. The wand about an hour but things like the desk, chair etc are measured in days

However the dust in the air makes me feel a little bit like it is snowing inside
