As far as I understand, you are planning to coincide the 1.9 release with the Megascans beta at the moment? Not asking for commitmennt to a specific date, just asking whether maybe 1.9 features something that ties it up to Megascans being available or vice versa.
bac9-fici - Yes that is our intention at least, there are a lot of new great features in the next version of The SUITE who benefits greatly from Megascans and vice versa, so it would be ideal. But I don't think we'll wait for one or the other if someone finishes first, but right now I'd say they are neck and neck pretty much.
It looks terrific! I'm on the same boat except that I'm building everything by hand since I can't go out and get proper equipment for scanning the assets myself. That said, if you're looking to sell some of your assets please PM me. Few of them could be very useful to me until Megascans comes out.

Today I noticed some missing materials from my DDO Megascans library. I seem to be missing a few samples from the preview image below (mainly tasty variants of existing materials). Any plans to include these in 1.9?

Will there be an easy way to import/replace the standard megascans materials with the high res 4/8k scans on release? For example batch importing 20 materials at once or something similar? Not a big deal to do it manually but it would be a nice integration step to even access the scans you own from the DDO menu.
hey Eric, im kinda curios what exactly Megascans Starter Kit means, do we have any info on how long buyers would have access to the Megascans Libary after release ?

With The SUITE you get a starter pack of roughly 20-30 materials (yet to be decided) Which you can use with DDO or any other program.
Megascans will be a subscription based service where you chose a level (or tier) that suites you, depending if you're working with games or VFX for instance.
Hopefully we will be able to launch both The SUITE 2.0 and Megasacans fairly close together, probably The SUITE a little bit before.

Seriously guys, do you have any release date planed? I am asking this because, I am working on a project and I would like to know if shall I wait for Megascans or not.
As I have stated before we won't be giving out release dates until we are 100% sure we can hit them.
I know this will upset some people, but we've tried to announce dates before and it has not panned out well for us. I can however happily report that everything is moving along very nicely on both fronts, Suite 2.0 have proven to be extremely stable and fast!

This was supposed to come early this year, and we are in August.
Well, you guys seems to have enough money to have the luxury to say will be ready when will be ready, or "Soon". But rest of us have that luxury, that's probable most of us ask for a release date. Not because we don't have alternatives to Quixel. There are alternatives, we just want to chose what's better for us.

Megascans costs a lot of money, so if we just wanted to make money we would have released it already. It's about the pride of making the best possible product!
