So this has taken me two days and I absolutely hate the render. Does any one know any decent tips for Keyshot clay rendering or just general Keyshot tips. Also this is based off a concept by BattlePeach (Jonatan Cantero). I would love to do it justice (which I feel I have failed to do). So any critique would be greatly appreciated. Here's the ref: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1007930ย /Skullguyref.png

I can't give any Keyshot tips, sorry but I have a few thoughts to help the model fit closer to the concept. You're pretty close, just a few proportions are off:
-Make the feet even smaller
-make the pocket and pens larger like the concept
-Shrink the nose hole on the skull
-Try to give him a little smile
Got some awesome work in here! Hitting off the new year well everyone!
I'm plugging away at this guy testing some color palettes/schemes trying to experiment a bit. He's still got some work to be done yet but I am hoping to wrap this project up soon. Anyone have any thoughts? Critique always very much appreciated!
I know, this is fashionably late. This was a rough semester. Anyway, seems apt for this thread. This is from the October Noob challenge and I got my high poly done and was looking for any pointers! Thanks.
Speed Sculpt of Doc Brown (BTTF 2), one of my favorite character from this classic movie.
Decided to make a timelapse video to show you the whole process, the sculpting session + Polypaint.
Speed up video, 3m22 long http://youtu.be/mUW3RG-LNM4
Matt_Billeci: Love the details on the metal, it seems believable.
Dave Jr: It looks really good! Just not sure about the "white circles" (I guess some emissive could help) :poly121:
Here is a final render of my SciFi buste (Substance Designer/Toolbag 2), and as it's related (don't hesitate to edit if off topic):
Crosspost with Jerc: we just published a free Comprehensive PBR Guide (written by Wes McDermott) in case you guys could be interested
did lee jumps very happy how they turned out..
all the jumps in the game are split into 3 animations, 10 frames each
started on the walk... not tooooooo happy with the forward walk.. (not even talking about the sliding)
and did some crouch attack poses..
got air attacks left and then getting hit on the ground and in the air - which is already working on katarina
Finished my entry for the Unity Community Art Challenge 4 "The Christmas Ornament" :

Would love some critique as always, taking my time on this stuff.

Finished up a chainmail for use with characters. My first material for character texturing.
In case you guy haven't seen I started a site where I'm giving away free sbsars.
Here is the chainmail mat:

Original Concept art
Practicing hand-painted wood
Better shot of the arm. Part of it is decimated and has no real color/detail because it was too many parts to bring into the main character file:
Blue
and... woaw
40 min sketch before I went to bed.
Done and done.

I would say blue, but, wasn't your previous character clothed in the same colour?
Have you tried different colour schemes?
Sorry, I couldn't resist
Hope you like
Here is the Zbrush rendering:
I recently saw him in this video where he is used as reference for a real Farnsworth: http://youtu.be/TStUjbIxcy8?t=1m31s
Here is he getting printed:

trying to learn stylized environment art.
would love brutal C&C
I want to learn to sculpt like Orb, Fanny Vergne, Ben Lewis, Adam Pitts, etc
these were based on andrew porter's original concept sketches
Again all procedural - no actual painting
I'm done with Korra.
And another one, probably my last, character from Avatar, Toph Beifong.
Started from spheres, still a bit dirty though...
this is coming along really well, great progress!
