little experiment yesterday and today new year .. ...
not sure how to make UE4 light beam spread to ceiling like the reference i took,..... gotta be a way ..
I believe you can now have static lighting from emmisive materials. That should do the trick.
Beginner here. Looked at this kinda stuff before but never really did anything.
New Years resolution to start actually do some learning by doing at least one sculpt a week and post it (here probably).
Did these two at the end of last year, and some tweaking this week. Inque from Batman Beyond and some random doodle guy.
Weird expressions, I know. Learning basics before moving on to that stuff.
zonda is getting there, need to sort some edges still. at the moment im focusing on getting the doors done as they have a few smaller details on. need to soften up some of the edges near the back as well.
at least i got the reflections sorted, probably going to stick with the orange colour scheme as well.
So cool! What printer do you have? And how did you get the eyes to do that?
Just a low end: UP! Mini but it is really good for that price, at least from what I can tell as a total 3D printing newbie. The trick with the eyes is that there are no eyes. That are just the sockets with little holes, so basically inverted eyes and the light shining from the bottom in the shell hides that. The perspective does then the rest.
Quick WIP shot of my Sci-fi floor tileable done entirely in substance.. no external maps used either. Gutted the PBR shader doesn't have Emissive enabled for 3d view...
started working on a 1v1 fighter using lol characters..
did the attack anims today.. stuck on crouch kicks.. want one of them to be anti-air, but it just looks silly..
have an earlier prototype where you could jump and dash forward/backwards with dash cancels by ducking, kinda like tekken (even though they make you go B/D, I just had D), that kinda messed with stuff so I'll see if I put it in this version..
planning on having lee sin as the opponent, mainly because he'd be easiest to animate
also, unity hair physics? tried with all kinds of joint physics.. can't get it working
I'd rather not have to animate hair.........again...
Dang dang87 dang! Looking really sexy! Maybe a little more masking for the white paint dirt/wear. The design/model is fantastic and texturing is coming out very nice as well. Keep it up!!!
take a look on Netflix for the 3D animated Green Lantern series from 2011... you may have seen it. Study their costume materials and link yours up to match as close as you can while still trying to honor Danny's concept of the energy glow. Lanterns always have the sheen on the green! Model is super awesome!!!!

There are some extra goodies on our thread over here!
Progress...trying to figure out how to deal with the mess in the middle. I might have to choose the more graphically expensive route.

Started this as a speed sculpt from a sphere. Now I'm coming back to polish and finish the head. Sculpted in zbrush, rendered in Keyshot.
