I have always feared creating faces but part of my new years resolution is to start practicing them, even of they suck!
So today I sat down and challenged myself to create a face, didn't have to be realistic or anything just trying to have fun and take my time with it. I'm actually pretty happy with it, I think it kinda looks like a character - sure its not perfect but its a start : ]
Only four pages and already so much cool stuff . I made a little handpainted scene to start of the year based on the lovely concept from Mark Henriksen:

That's hot!
Do you hand paint the colors or do you paint in greyscale and then colorize?
I used one string of ZSpheres (had been looking at Callahan's method/brushes for laces). For the knot I just put a real shoe on my desk, tied it slowly (and loosely) and tried to copy along step by step in Zbrush. It was pretty fiddly, so I'm open to more efficient ways!
I'm in the process of wrapping up this piece for my first original miniature and indiegogo project, you can check out more info at the campaign. We've reached full funding and some of our main stretchgoals. It's been an amazing experience, only 35 hours left!
Here is a little CE3 scene I just finished to get a bit more familiar with the engine and it's material system.
This looks sick!
Your material definition could use a bit more roughness variation though. Whenever that's implemented it'll look less "perfect" especially the floor.
Finished the baking for the weapon base of my turret yesterday.
Next step will be adding more details to the lower part via ndo and then up to the main gun itself.
First sculpt in so many months, kind of forgot how to use Zbrush haha. Reference used was Steve Schumacher's Brock Samson toy. I forgot what I normally write in these things haha.

This is super awesome! I get the sense of this being the title screen for a game.
Everything is pretty much done. Still trying to improve the likeness, and overall shape though.
Some concepts for a game idea I'm working on:
